My 41st & Memorial Walmart had restocked 32x planes.. It also had 2 Eileen P-47s, one Eagleston P-47 and all the Fw-190s.. Also Bradleys and Tan M-113s, but nothing "NEW".. :?

That's the problem with XD's success though. Vehicles (and to the point in this case, planes) shouldn't be the priority... They should be the complement to a smaller, lower priced, and more diversity potential product that has the ability to sell a higher volume of product while yielding a greater % of profit to cost.

The planes don't do that, nor does any vehicle really, but the figures do... It's the basis for most successful toy lines (action figures at least), so it's always boggled me somewhat that 21st didn't direct things that way... I've only been able to rationalize it that they tried that for a while with TRU but the TRU deal falling through was what canned it. The vehicles seem to have gotten a foot in the door at WM now, so I'm really hoping this means some dedicated pegs to XD figures, and potentially a dedicated section of shelf space now on the plan-o-grams. That's what the line needs to really expand and have long-life. This could be very good. :)

Didn't see anything at my local WM's today, but I keep hoping this is only a matter of time for my area now. Every aisle I kept hoping to see that Marine or Ardennes soldier staring back at me.

SKU#

Post by 75th Ranger » Mon Apr 18, 2005 8:21 am

Hello guys,
I was wondering if some of you that had bought the new stuff at Wal-Mart could post the SKU# here so that maybe the not-so-furtunate can use it to see if via the customer service desk you can request the new products.
thanks in advance,
HOOAH!

Has anyone in California seen any of the NEW stuff at Walmart? I haven't seen any of the new items at the 2 near me in Los Angeles. Just the 190 and bubble tops. NO Spits, 109's, or halftracks. No figs, no bulldogs, etc.

Nothing yet at the Wal-Marts here in Columbus.

But, the search goes on!

Haven't seen any of the halftracks, figures or and of the 1/32 items in my local WMs in the Ohio/Ky area.
I talked with the toys person and she told me that they have a weekly update sheet. It informs them of new arriving product that they would have to make room for. She had not seen or heard anything like XD products coming to her store.

Ventured over the the SUPER Wallyworld and there I found the same old planes (D-Day Spits and Messerschmitts). I found a Messerschmitt box with a CIA Huey inside. Strange huh? Some really bad Q/A going on to let a Huey leave the factory in a Messerschmitt box...

I bet if you take a close look, you will find that WM did the swap. The airplances come by container, so it should be next to impossible for them to switch boxes like that at the factory. Remember, the CIA Huey came out about a year before the 109 even was hinted at, hehehehe.....

Razor, Drop me a line if you see the new figures and such out. I'll do the same for you. :D
By the way, I think that one of the toy clerks at that Wal Mart also collects XD. That may have something to do with the CIA Huey. :? I have seen some 32X aircraft in the wrong boxes there before.

You're in Northern California Bay Area right? Where did you purchase the items from?

Thanks

Funny to see that you live in Fairfield. I was stationed at Travis for 6 years...... I went TDY for a week just a couple months ago and man things have changed since 1994!!

Glad to hear that the XD stuff has hit the Bay Area. I'll be checking the local WM's around me to see if they got their share of the new stuff. :D
