Bunker Hill Avenger
Bunker Hill Avenger
Was the Bunker Hill Avenger available at general retail or e-tail or was it a vendor exclusive?

Vulgarvulture is correct, except that the plane never was a BadCat exclusive...
Back in 2006, we had all been waiting for the Avenger since its announcement in late 2004. That was when Badcat got some very good news and started taking preorders for each of the three Avenger paint schemes. (The fourth "Bush" Avenger never materialized.)
The "Bunker Hill" plane was originally going to be Badcat's exclusive. Then 21c dropped the ball on Badcat and pushed the Avengers back to some indefinite time. Badcat got very ticked off, as I recall, and was considering dropping 21c from their product line.
Then the "Atlantic" Avengers came out at Wal Mart a couple months after the Badcat fiasco and for all said purposes, they did not sell well. Only much later in 2007 did the "Flight 19" and then the "Bunker Hill" scheme come out to all small retailers.
Only the "Atlantic" Avenger ever sold at mass retail and then only at Wal Mart. The "Flight 19" and "Bunker Hill" Avengers (and also the "Atlantic") sold at the small retailers.
So, that is the 21c Avenger story. In my opinion, had they selected either the Bunker Hill scheme or the Flight 19 scheme to go to Wal Mart instead, the plane would have had somewhat greater appeal. But 21c never did anything that made sense, now did they?

"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
I agree. I saw the Atlantic Avenger in only 2 of the 15 or WM I checked in Pa and OH. One only got them after they were reduced to $35. Only one WM had them at full pricenooker21 wrote:Yeah, but you could also blame atrocious wal mart and their lousy distribution, where entire sections of the country had tons of these planes, while I never saw a single example on the west coast the entire time they were out....
