No 21st King Tiger, comments on Matorro 1/16?

With all 21st's troubles I don't think we will see a King Tiger released in 1/18 in the near future.
I am beginning to lean towards making my first purchase in 1/16 scale.
Anyone care to make any comments/suggestions on the Matorro 1/16 version of the King Tiger.
Does anyone have one and does it display well with your XD ?

Im thinking of getting one or two of these. I think sinc3e its a big tank, the size difference wont matter.

Shop ebay and you will eventually find a used one at a reasonable price. Got mine for $92 shipped.

Thanks for the link hotrodrock. I did a brief search before posting but didnt come across your post.
That is the paint scheme KT i have been looking at. I guess being the only KT in my collection it would look good next to my XD vehicles and the 21st tankers seem to suit. Is it the type that "shoots" airsoft BB's ?.

I would open it up and check for any wiring glitches and stuff before you plug in the battery.
My 1/16 jagdpanther smoked as soon as I turn the switch OFF (shorted leads) still waiting for promised replacement parts.

I have 4 Jagdpathers from Henglong, all work perfectly. 2 Grey 2 Camo. One Camo is green based, green a little bright, perfer the sand based camo, there is also just a sand scheme which looks fine, but 4 is my limit. Too dumb to know how to post photos, sorry.

Can anyone post photos of the Matorro 1/16 King Tiger?

Woo Hoo. My 1/16 KT arrived late last week. It is one massive beast.
scbvideoboy, The seller assured me that all his tanks have been given the thorough once over before he sends them out, so no faults.
In comparison to my XD 1/18 tanks it looks okay. The fine details like tools and tow bolts give it away as slightly larger scale.
dragon53, I'm posting this at work

, I will try and take some pics and post them on the weekend (time permiting).

Ok, guys. These have been posted more than once. Somebodys not visiting here enough

. Anyway here are a few. Mine has had some light weathering done to it. They do not come with decals but come with stickers which I certainly don't like after putting them on. Have since removed them and bought some decals off of ebay.

You can also go to matomart.com for some really good photos of lots of their 1/16 tanks which have been customized.

Questions about the Matorro King Tiger:
1. Can anyone post photos of the green paint scheme?
2. Do figures come with the model?

Very good advice.

GUYS:
I did Google for King Tiger photos. but I don't consider photos from a dealer or manufacturer as always being accurate---they often make the model look better than they really are. That's why I like to see owner photos in addition to manufacturer/dealer photos.

No worries dragon53, here goes my first attempt at posting a pic. If I'm successful I'll throw in a few more.

nice pictures guys, thanks.
I'm going to hold off getting the matorro until there is postive confirmation that the 21c KT is dead. The matorro is nice but it is over scale, costs a hefty bit more and needs a good paint job.
The r/c features don't really appeal to me so that's not really a plus, in my books. The only thing i like better about it is the zimmerit......and the fact that it exists, of course.
But i'm still betting on the 21c one appearing...

No problemo's

, I understood your point of view with the manufacturer/customizers pic's not being a true representation of the product.
My pic's are straight out of the box, the camera flash shows the camo as having a "purple tinge" when it really should be a "rusty brown" color. Comes with a 1/16 MG42 and a crappy Commander figure.
I am with aferg, if a XD King Tiger ever see's the light of day I will snap one up (depending on price/shipping to Down Under

)

It really does have a purple tinge.

A Matorro KT runs around $100. I think thats a pretty good price considering what the new FOV 1/32 releases are costing. Its true that the shipping is prohibitive but the base price for most of the 1/16 tanks is very attractive.

it's not $100. It's $150 because shipping is $50, regardless of where you live. I live in the same city where this guy is selling them and i can't get one penny less for the shipping cost....and no pick ups.
