good tank to start with

hay all
just wondering what would be a good 1/16 scale rc tank to start with. maybe something german. Anybody own one that they like, i would love two know :wink:

Heng Long smoke and sound Panzer 3 or 4 for a first timer on the german side. Walker Bulldog for the US side.

Yes, I own the Bulldog and PIII. They are the most recommended tanks HL makes. The PIII is the size of a Bradley and the Bulldog is a bit shorter than the Abrams, but just as wide. You have to buy the smoke and sound version for $10 more to get a good tank. RCTANK COMMAND is the only person I will buy from and his prices are just as cheap as anyone else. If you need further advice and are serious, you need to go to rcuniverse to their tank forum. HL's have flaws, but cost under $100 and any part can be replaced for cheap. The rcuniverse guys will walk you through any repairs. Search for the thread here called "snow day" for pics and more advice. I'm pretty sure you commented on it. Sorry about the lack of links, but I'm responding from my phone.
