Oh My

Post by Killerf6 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 6:45 pm

I knew I had ordered a lot of stuff from Monkey Depot, but I didn't realize just how much until it all arrived.

Now keep in mind I've never bought anything other than planes until this sale.

Also happens that I'm building a couple of computers for work, so I have shipping, and packing boxes coming out my ears right now.

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Did Monkey Depot throw in the case of bottled water to keep you from dehydrating while running all those foam peanuts to the trash???.. Or is that for the "Where will I hide THESE" sweats??

ok, now I don't feel so bad about the 7 boxes (and 3 big shipping boxes) stacked up in my office at work. The front desk just pages me "Another one - come get it please".

MD Pile

Post by PanzerArm » Thu Feb 12, 2009 8:08 pm

I think my pile of 1/32 stuff was about that big as well. I never had to deal with large packages being shipped to me though, just getting it all back in my diminutive chevy cavalier

Now this is the kind of thread I like to see. Anyone else think to snap a pic of their MD loot?

I am still kicking myself for missing out on the 9.99 SS sets. But I made up for it on the other stuff. I just can't justify 49.99 even though that is still a great deal.

Hell no! Are you crazy? That is evidence! Much like a murder weapon I drive way out in the country to bury all those boxes. The worst is the ones with ''BCA'' emblazoned on the side. I would rather be caught with lipstick on my face than packing peanut crumbs...

Money well spent, sir! It will be worth many times what you paid both monetarily and in the amount of enjoyment it will bring.

 Oh so true. God only knows how many parts I've tossed in the trash because I needed to destroy the packaging. Ever try to open an F-104 starfighter in the front seat of a Saab and then smuggle the parts into the house? I have perfected my shoplifting techniques to get product into the house. What an odd reality we plastic crack addicts exist in.

It's pretty funny how the discussion of the hiding from the wives goes. I had to buy a barn to hide my stuff. Two large boxes from MD had to go in under the cover of night.

I am not quite sure. I have an Avenger, 2 88's and a slew of 1/32 in my office right now waiting to get smuggled home. I think getting caught would be really bad. Mrs. 'Fant is a good gal if you can overlook the fact she has a problem with thousands of dollars and rooms full of toys. I haven't even broken my promise except for a bag of $1 IJ figures...

You still have all of that 1/32 at your office? I wouldn't get much work done. The M-60 would be shooting it out with the T-72 on my desk.
