What should the next custom aircraft be ? Ended

Enough with the doom and gloom.

I WILL be doing a full custom plane one of these days after I get through with my armor phase. I WILL be doing one of these planes that you can bet on. As some of you all may know I have started the Ki-61 Tony already and have it about 80 % done. I just ran out of steam on it big time and have done everything to not to get back on it. But it is a cool plane and I never say never.

I will try to keep the price down as much as possible so the average collector can afford it. But you know how that goes. That meens that the detail will compatabel to 21st. By keeping the details simple KEEPS the price down.

Those interested speak up.

I know EVERYBODY wants a A-10 I have been over that. THESE ARE PLANES THAT I WANT TO BUILD AND ONE OF THEM I WILL BUILD maybe two of them.
I know that I have made other polls but this is the latest. I have 10 that I really really want to have but will never see. I hope I don't get 10 guys who want 10 different things.

Again I WILL BE BUILDING one or two of these planes. That you can bet on. So speak up.

My vote goes for a Wildcat. Next would be the Tony or the He-162. I've been working on a P-39 recently and the rear body is nearing completion, so that's covered.

I like the idea of the Mig 3 to get a Russian AC. The Tony would be cool to see finished too.

if you're going to do a russian plane do a yak 9 instead. I know the mig looks prettier but it wasn't much of a plane and historically insignificant, relative to the yak.

I don't get the popularity of the P-39; also not much of a plane and played a minor role in the war. The russians liked it for a while, but at the time they didn't have much else to choose from. Once their yaks and lavochkins were in plentiful production the p-39 was relegated to the backburner..

I am a huge P-39 fan. What I like about the plane are its lines. With the engine behind the pilot, it has the coolest look from the front. Also having a tricycle landing gear is another feature that sets it apart in how it looks. I just think it and the P-63 Kingcobra are great looking planes.

I know Aferguson has disliked the P-39 for a long time but it looks like it is the fav so far. He is also right about the Mig-3 by all aspects it was a dog. But it is still one of my fav Rusky planes if not one of my top fav WW2 planes.
Suprising only one guy chose the Tony and a while ago the Tempest was on on the top .

I am the one who chose the Horten. A plane before it's time. If I am not mistaken I think that the wing span will be over 36" . So if I do that project I thought of doing the center section only. That would be cool for a desk top or shelf display. The dioramas for it would be cool.

I thought that the Wildcat would be number one but the poll is only a few hrs old and it is number two at this time.

I also thought there were a lot of F-82 fans out there. But I am glad that there is not a lot of interest in that one. It would be a tough project to cast and replacate. I do have a few Mustangs that I have slated for that project so if I ever do that one I think that I would do 3 only. One for me and the other two for retail.

I went with the Ho-229 Flying wing. I think its one of the coolest planes ever made, wish the Smithsonian Museum would restore the one in their collection.
