Microman Motorcycle w/sidecar?

Post by CENT-ONE » Mon Feb 02, 2009 5:12 am

I keep looking at this bike over at smalljoes and getting tempted to get one but it's pricey and I'm not really sure how well it fits scale wise with the 1/18th xd stuff.

Does anyone have one that they could give a quick rundown on how it fits?

I see that Small Joes has a pic of this bike, but I don't see it for sale.
I saw the same thing on Ebay and thought this might make a good German conversion.
Corey @ Small Joes- Can you tell us if you have any of these bikes and if they are within 1/18 scale?

I emailed Corey last week about it and he got right back to me saying

"It's roughly the same scale, designed for 3 3/4" action figures (which Microman are) so it should display fine with other similarly scaled figures. I cannot guarantee that certain figures would or would not fit in the sidecar, etc. as I haven't tried it."

so it sounds like a good fit to me, I'm just hoping that someone on here actually has one that they've tried out with XD.

It's on Smalljoes for sale here:

I guess I did see it on there to buy, but @39.95 to be modified is a little out of range for me to do.
Maybe he will have a sale on them! :D

The big thing with the Microman figures (especially thinking back to when they were sold as Micronauts here in the US) is that they are a bit "slimmer" and a lot more articulated than the standard 1/18 action figures.

But that bike IS tempting, even if just for static display as a "backdrop" for figures!

I was ordering some stuff from smalljoes today anyway so I went ahead and got one. I guess we'll see when it gets here. I'll post some photos for review, keeping my fingers crossed that it's in scale...

just as a sidenote, my order was processed and shipped in under 1/2 hour! so it's already on the way. :D

Not gonna happen. :) They are already $10 off of SRP, now roughly at cost, they are moving, and I don't have very many left.

Got any damaged ones, you know that "fell off the truck"?
I really only need the sidecar...

I have one. but never have tried to put anything but micromen in the sidecar. I'll have to dig it out (it's in a big plastic tub somewhere in this mess I call home!) I can say I was happy with my purchase when i got it and used it for displays for a few months.
