Picking the 21C bones clean!!!

Im so upset over the crazy prices some etailers are trying to get for the remaining 21C items. many etailers that participate in this forum are rediculous! I wont list examples here but its out of control. I feel as if they are vultures, preying on the fear that 21C is finished! There are few exceptions like the monkey depot that are still selling at reasonable prices. The PRIVATE RESERVE STUFF ticks me off!. to many are trying to score big on the remaning stock! It makes me sick!

That's your queue kof, enter stage right...

If you're referring to MD's recent blowout that wasn't reasonable that was borderline insane...cool but geez what deals.

Well, if they still had inventory from the last several years laying around- we see the same old stuff at most every web retailer, as wella as the new--and suddenly they find that SOME people are willing to pay 250.00 for a f-104, well, prices are gonna rise. Those without may stay without- the folks that can pay 250.00 a pop should probably spend their money on acquiring a complete skyworks collection. Remember, this is America, thats the way things work- anyway I agree with you, but you know? in the immortal word of someone somewhere....."IT DON'T MATTER"

What's that they said in Hamburger Hill, "don't mean nuthin', notta thing!". This stuff will become more collectible as the years go by, just mother nature. Reminds me of an ole boy that came up to my table at a show in Tulsa once, threw a fit about my $250 K98, $450 Garand, etc etc and then lectured me how they were $20 a pop in 1955 so I offered him $6500 for his house "coz that's what it was probably worth in 1955". It may be premature to rate stuff that high, ebay has shown in the past the stuff will bring that, seen it a hundred times, but I'm with hworth 100% in that anything is only worth what you can get for it at any given time..."blue books" be damned. However in Rob's defense he runs a rather successful business and am sure knows more about the market than we do, just my opinion and one I'm sure I'll get slammed for but what else is new here.

getting slammed around here is kind of habit forming- as long as you dont get to angry and flee the forum like a jilted debutant. Being an occasional intigator serves to bring emotional honesty and heartfelt BS to a thread when things get stale

Man don't I wish. Often managed to get some leave and come home for the big Wannamacher show in Tulsa, this would've been around 97 timeframe. Good score on the 43 sniper, awesome shooters.
