Wow, female figures. That should be interesting. :D How about some news on the Dauntless???

Very cool - eye candy for the crew! I like the idea - keeping the feel of the classic pin up girls that decorated so many aircraft!

Check out the forum that was referenced in the news blog. There's an update on the Dauntless in there.

Is that news blog in the Admiral site? I can't find it.

The news blog for the figures is on the Admiral site. The update on the Dauntless is on the Collector's Access website forum mentioned in the news update on the figures.

Here's a link to the site mentioned:

Check the forum area.

Thanks. Jason says they have already started development of three new 18th scale aircraft. Very cool, and the Dauntless will be a beauty for sure.

Just don't run him off from that other site.

Jason has loads of good info but it seems everytime he shows up it becomes a feeding frenzy. Let him share what he wants and don't push so much.

just my .02

Oh and yeah I can't wait for the Dauntless. I'm even starting to have dreams about it.

I'm guessing these figures are going to just be a display piece to go with the plane, kind of like the "sexy car girls" line of figures to go with die cast cars and things? Or am I misinterpreting?

I think it's cool for display... When I think 1:18 figures though, this isn't what I was expecting, haha. Guess I'll keep hoping for more WW2 figures.

The female figs will be not be jointed, kind of like "window dressing" your aircraft. Jason has also stated that there will be figures representing the axis powers as well.

Excellent.
I've had a really crappy week so far and this little bit of 1/18 sunshine is very welcome. 8)

3 new aircraft!......woohoooooooooooooo.

And can't wait for the Dauntlass (even though we've had no choice but to wait....heheh.)

I didn't see any mention of the Skyraider....any news on that?

He mentioned that he would talk about the Skyraider next time. It was about the last thing he wrote.

Wow, I'd basically given up on the SBD, much less the Skyraider. This gives me hope!

Great, about time someone did some '40s females.

Hopefully they won't suck like the car ones.

I assume Admiral's three new planes are the SBD Dauntless, A-1 Skyraider and A-10 Thunderbolt II.
If so, does that mean the F-4 Phantom is not going to be released?

1/18th twits.. big doins in the 1/18th world...ooooo I'm all a flustered....3 new planes ? when next decade or 2 ? by the time they come out 90% of the people will be out of work but we'll have 3 new aeroplanes we can't afford....yak yak yak blah blah blah
And you wonder why manufacturers don't post on this forum anymore. Just trying to give a little hope for your hobby (Jackson, you in particular have a vested interest in this hobby working). Anyways, I will not give time lines but at least you know we are working on things. Would you rather all the manufacturers just shut up and close up shop? At least we are trying to make this hobby interesting again. I thought you would be happy to know there is hope for the scale instead of just sitting around looking at old news and wondering if anything will ever happen again in 1:18 scale.

Banks are failing, large corporations are laying workers off, everyone sees doom and gloom for our economy... All that said... you try and run a "toy" company in these times. You guys are the exception. You love your hobby and collect. But the 10% here will not keep doors open. And purchasing expensive models or toys is the last thing on the minds of the remainder of our target audience.

I am disappointed in myself for allowing only a small percentage of the 10% get to me. It is that small percent that makes the masses suffer. Because if it wasn't a delay they would find something else to complain about.

Thank you Jason for your time in the industry and the posts here. Please don't let the few put you off; I love my Sabres and 262s and my only complaint is that I want more! 8)

That’s half the reason I rarely post here anymore. Too much complaining. People are always upset about something. Glad to hear there is still progress on the Dauntless.
