New Skyworks Toys Spitfire Mark XIV

Post by donnieboy » Tue Jan 13, 2009 7:31 pm

I was visiting the Military Toyshop website (www.Militarytoyshop.com) and noticed something new in the Skyworks Toys section. Jack Plonka plans to produce several variants of the Griffon-engined Spitfire Mark XIV, including Johnnie Johnson's clipped-wing Mark XIVe. A call to Isaiah Jones at Military Toyshop today confirmed this. Isaiah said these Spits will be scratch-built. I didn't ask about prices, but I presume they'll be around $500 or so. Isaiah reiterated what he told me this past summer-if twenty or thirty of us gave Jack Plonka a firm preorder for this or any other Skyworks Toys offering, Jack could lower the price considerably. Food for thought! Donnieboy Over and Out!

Donnieboy, I'm moving off topic, sorry, but did MTS have any status update on the T-Bird?
