Not pictured but I am going to do a Panzer IV back date tubular rear idelers w/rubber rollers. I am not sure if I am going to do the main drive sprocket. It depends if there is a call for them. LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT A BACKDATED MAIN DRIVE. THE MORE INPUT ON THIS IT MAY GET DONE.
2 tubular idel wheels w/6 rubber roller hub caps Est $40.

If anybody is interested in any of the above let me know. There is a lot of interest in the flak gun and APC kit but the Panzer IV add ons are new.

Pickelhaube, that Flak 38 looks cool. I didn't see or missed at first...the Panzer back date rear idler and the main drive sprocket, Great idea. The only problem I'm having is finding enough 1:18th Panzer IV's to work with. I wonder if we could buy the mold of the Panzer IV from 21st or China or who ever owns it and have you make us new tanks.
:?: Who does own these molds and what happens to them when a piece is no longer made?

Yes it will the way it is designed when the hatch opens the hatch cover makes for the rear protective cover shield. It should fit in snuggly when it flips up.
Snuggly and a APC hmmmm..... that dosen't sound right.

The .50 cal comes w/ the APC
M-60s come with the original Vietnam figures and Mutts. When you get ready to make these, let me know and I can send you a loaner M-60 for a guide.
I know you have not made these yet, but how easy would the side shields attach to the APC, do you think?

You know what there is a new armor book out based in the Vietnam era at my local hobby show. ( I did not get it yet) But quickly looking through it the rear shields were pointed in several positions and looked that they could be moved. There was another pic of the shields pointed forward staggard front to back. So it looks to me that they did not have a pemanant location on the back hull. The guys could move them and place 'em were ever they thought would give the most protection. Of course I could be way off on this.
So when I make them you can put them right on the deck .

I just looked at the detail drawings a little better. The M-60 shields were bolted to the deck and had a diagonal brace to hold the top of the shield in place.. I will make a scale flange for the base and maybe make the brace kind of like a kickstand to keep it from fliping over.

Razor I will take you up on that M-60 loan

A 21st Panzer IV sold on ebay yesterday for $28. Theres plenty of them available at reasonable prices. Of course theres one on there with a starting bid of $250. Must be "rare".

Here are a few fabrication pics of the rear idler for the Mk IV. THIS IS NOT AS EASY AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I am so so on the way it is coming out. What do you guys think? So rae all I have is the outside tubular rings. The inside will be even harder to do. It may be easier to do the spokes from scratch and not use the original at all except for a guide.

Here are some pics. A tad rough but you get the idea. So far about 5 hrs worth of work.

Hey Guys,
I have been working on the V-1 dolly and have gotten behind. Plus with the holidays and family has put me even further behind. I will get all of the Wirbels and M-113 kits out early next week.
As I told somebody on the forum when I create I can't pour when I pour I can't create.

Resin pouring takes a bit of time and makes a mess. Even when I ware gloves the resin gets over evrything. It is like magic , black magic. I have evn tride setting up in another part of the shop it must fly throught the air. When I set up to pour the lastest batch of orders I will make my RTV molds for the V-1 dolly.

Hopefully I will start on the quad flak 38 toward the end of next week . It depends on how many dolly orders I get. I WILL KEEP 1/8 SCALE ALIVE IF IT KILLS ME. But it is still fun to make XD all day. After I get done with the flak gun , then it will be time to make a new a new piece of armor. I have put several feelers out for the next project of armor. It may be a little early but I am not sure if I will do German or American/ Comonwealth. So speak up if you have a preference.

Final note,
Just a little more patence and I will get evrybodies order out early next week. With the new projects that I have coming out hopefully everybody may get something that they have wanted for a long time. Except a T-34 :?

Thanks for all of your support,
Matthew

I saw your post over in the customs area about the firelly. You were considering a conversion kit of some kind for that piece weren't you? Have you considered a jagdpanther conversion kit like the 1/16 ones? Minimal number of parts involved, at teast the 1/16 kits appear that way.

There is one made already. It was a tag team project with me and the Woofer AKA the Hun.

No he made full customs only and kits were not offered . I was there for the design development . Once the master was made he took it from there.

I am the one going out on a limb to make customs kits more affordable to the average XD collectors. LIKE ME !!!

At times tooooooo affordable.
