How rare is the series 4 ME-109 Tropical?

Post by ExC17load » Tue Dec 09, 2008 9:04 am

Just curious about how rare this one is. Probably not much, but am curious. I picked one up in a hobby store for $60. Im sure I paid too much as this was one I passed up at Walmart and is a regret. Does anyone have any info on it? I saw Teamski had some research on it, but am looking for anymore. Thanks.

ExC17load,
Grunt has an excellent database of 1/18 product from 21st Century, BBI, Admiral, PTE and Dragon. Here is the link http://www.sshqdb.com
As for more data, tko211 - 21st Century Fan Club President, could probably add additional information. PM him or ask a question in this thread.

60.00 sounds like a really good deal on the Tropical.

There was an e-tailer called Small Blue Planet that had bunches and bunches of these maybe back in 2003-2004. They put them on sale as they were going out of business for $29 a pop. I scored a few of them. I never knew that they sold at Wal-Mart till I went out to Cali on Vac. I scored on that one as well. $60 is not bad because they are not available anymore. Anything out there now is worth getting. Even the Pearl harbor P-40 prices are starting to climb. The Tiger P-40 and rainbow F-104 are kind of the newest and they are worth what they are selling for at TRU.

Thanks everyone for the info. Cant tell these days what a good deal is anymore. I know that right now, Im trying to get my hands on whatever I can find and afford. Its almost like there is a run going on and everyone is trying to secure their collections before the well dries up and I think I can see mud in the water. Not a good sign for our addiction, I mean hobby.
