Picked up the Checkered Tail yesterday for $59 with shipping on eBay. About what you'd pay online for a new one anyway.

Man there are some good deals lately on eBay for buyers. People are getting hard up for cash. I don't want to spend all my money, but it's a good opportunity for me to fill in some gaps in my collection.

I really like the looks of this P-47. Nothing against D-Day but there are just too many with the stripes.

Good for you! There are some good deals out on Ebay if you are willing to put the time and effort into the patience it will take. That and a lot of praying that someone else isnt wanting the same plane you do.

I personally like the DDay stripes, although they were only on for a short amount of time. But thats just my opinion.
