1/16 RC Sturmtiger

Post by ostketten » Sun Nov 23, 2008 11:44 am

New from Matorro, 1/16 scale RC Sturmtiger. I think HL once made a version of this, but they've been OOP for quite a while. Paint job looks OK, but these pics aren't always an accurate measure of what they'll look like out of the box.

Not new, but new packaging. Matorro originally came out with this, not HL.

New paint, for sure.. in the S1 paint, the reddish brown camo looked like mauve lipstick... Anyway, I knew somebody had released one awhile back (thought it was HL, my bad), but I have not seen one for sale anytime recently from a North American distributor, although I think the first version is still available in the UK and down under. I personally don't have any desire for a Sturmtiger, just thought some of our members might be interested. Now the HL Jagdpanther...that's another story, I already have the funds set aside for two of those... 8)

I have one of the S1, charged up the battery and gave it a test run. Worked OK. Put it back in the box.

The one thing I noticed is it feels lighter than it should be. The HL tanks feel heavier.
