something new i found in TRU

Post by Fitzystigertank » Tue Nov 18, 2008 4:03 pm

i know i should put this in the other posts but i want to tell everyone now.
i found these new paratrooper people today. they come with everything that previous paratroopers come with except the cool thing is that you can have them just be regular soldiers or you can put on the paratrooper suits. they have working parachutes.

Cool, nice find. I like the idea of the removable para harness.

so my review, pretty good once you get your feeling in your fingers. after awhile i decided the hot water trick and it made putting the harnesses together a lil easier. they look cool once they are put into there paratrooper suits.

Awesome - well worth a new thread. Thank you for posting. This is what we always wanted with the WWII paras and BBI delivered. I must say this is a great move by them and really hope it pays off. The guys without the jump gear look great, and having the option is awesome. I am willing to forgive the fact that I have about 50 with jump gear that I now wish I could just replace with these guys.. :P

EDIT - don't think these guys would have had BAR guns, and we sure do have enough BAR gunners, but no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I found these figures too. They are great and the removable harness makes them more versatile.

I saw these this afternoon at TRU Massapequa... I picked up 3 of them the 4th guy I passed up, didn't like the green face camo. Oh these figures are $7.99 + tax.

These look great! Especially the working parachutes.

So I got 2 of these guys, and does anyone have any advice how to put their jump gear on them? I've got the gist of how it should go on, but man it's gonna be a tight fit, if it's a fit at all. :(

I like the concept, the execution leaves something to be desired though. BBI's thinking in a good way they just need to tweak it is all now.

BTWI totally agree, we need Red Devils like this now. I'd poop myself I think.

You may want to try putting the jump gear in some almost boiling water for a few seconds to soften it and then apply it to the figure. It will conform better and will be less likely to break.
