I’m picking one in dunkelgrau… Ok, so it's a DAK scheme. I’ll just hold my breath till the S-2 version comes out… Right after the Phantom we were promised some eons ago.

It
is a beautiful model. But $90.00 on pre-order makes it sound like it will retail for $100-110. Too much to have to bother repainting it in a German grey/camouflage scheme afterwards, IMO.
How many do you think 21c is gonna sell at that price? Exactly.

I have pre-ordered one. I intend to examine it, and put it back in the box and wait to see if a version in the German gray, which is the version I really want, is released next year.....
If stuff happens, and there is no further version (these days, who knows?), then I'll be happy with the DAK version.
Now to wait for the KT.

I think the price is right in line with the product. If the fov 1/32 is $50, I think $90 for a detailed 1/18 sounds about right. I would like it cheaper, but all things considered it makes sense. Heck, fov sells 1/16 armor for $400.

Im getting two, not only because it looks great and will be the centerpeice of my collection, but think of how much this puppy will appreciate given time. Not that I think that Ill be rich from this but it might be way harder to get once its out. The same way the 18's and 16's are now.

Two, one of each scheme. Plus I'm sure they will eventually find their way to a mass retailer as the Tuskegee, Flying Tiger P-40, Rudel Stuka, etc.. have so if that happens I'll hopefully nab one or two more.
This is such a cool piece!!

Recession is obviously not hitting a lot of people. Ordered one, but it is probably the last 1/18 I will be buying. Moving on to 1/16 where they are releasing new items pretty often. If I buy any more 1/18, it had better be pretty special like a Kettenkrad, Puma, or Horsch car.

Id buy two if the price was decent - toy companies told us the price went up due to cost of fuel and problems with factories - oil is down and cheaper than it was before costs of toys went up -
$80-90 for an 88? none for me - $39.99- 59.99 I can get two.
Oil goes up yoy prices go up - oil goes down toy prices stay up -
I have no problem with a company wanting to make extra money - thats the american dream but i will also opt to wait for FOV to make one at $24.99 hint hint

i'm thinking that these will eventually hit mass retail, eg TRU, but it will be the dark grey scheme. The DAK will probably end up being an etailer exclusive.

Well, if that’s the case then it means that (1) 21c is playing their customer base like a fiddle -- again -- and (2) they’re not as desperate (financially-wise) as the rumors tend to suggest. Or maybe they are, but they’re not too good at making business decisions.

I'm with aferg on this one! I want two grey ones but will order a DAK version just in case they don't do anymore for whatever reason! If the grey one comes along later I will get another one or two or........
