Note to self: must get one of these some day.

Several of the WM's near me have the Black 12 just sitting on the shelves. None of them though are discounted but still less than what BCA charges for them. :)

Heh Heh, so you are going to go to the store, purchase one for Andrew, package it, go to the P.O. and ship it, for your exact cost?

Or is BCA providing a service for which they deserve to make a profit?

I'm guessing BCA is closer to the "paying the bills" end of the income spectrum than they are to ordering their first Jaguar.

Nomo - Not to be sarcastic, but I've done just that for fellow board members. I realize retailers have to charge more for their products to make a profit, but if the opportunity to purchase one from somewhere else at a reduced cost is there, I say go for it.

The sku of the black 12 is 6 38748 10175 0 Just a note of interest, the sku is the same for all of the FW-190s no matter which plane it is or whether it is in the old Motorworks packaging or the new Ultimate Soldier XD blue box. I have all four of the 190 releases and checked all of the sku numbers to confirm this. Hope this helps. By the way, I picked up a black 12 for $14 at Wal-Mart about 2 weeks ago in Katy, TX. I went back to get another one but they were all out. Guess I got lucky. Hopefully you can find one discounted too.

Well, I guess BAdcat has SOLD all of them, because they are no longer listed for sale.....

IMHO, I think Black 12 is the best of the lot and no matter how you get one, I would highly recommend it.. These are available in my local Walmarts also, it just seemed like it took forever to get here..

Black 12

Post by normandy » Sun Mar 20, 2005 6:57 pm

I found a Black 12 along with 2 Black chevrons Sat. at my local Walmart here on Long Island. They were inthe blue XD box and at full price $39.84.
I like the late war camo on this aircraft and have a question about it, well its more a question about the underside of 21st's Fw 190... Does anyone else have a paint scheme like this? (Look under Fw 190)

Thats the way its supposed to look. I think it represents a very late war scheme, where parts from other aircraft were salvaged to fix this one. Kind of a rather interesting detail.

Thanks Tman, I didn't have a problem with it but it did seem different.
Maybe Roy Sutherland at 21st is just keeping the look Real. :)

It has been known as both Blue 12 & Black 12. See the profile album on Teamski's website (right above your post) for numerous pics of this bird and a profile.

Johnny..
Please man, stop yelling..... It is making my head hurt..
(typing in all caps means you are yelling)

I have Squadrons Walk Around Fw-190 book... It has the original B/W photos of Black 12 W.Nr. 500570 which exactly matches the 21st Fw-190 S4 version that I have in my home..
I think that 21st originally called this plane "Blue12" because the original protoype they produced had Blue Numbers.. It is underscrutiny whether the numbers on the actual plane were Blue, or Black because of the B/W pics... But 21st produced it with Black Numbers and my color profile in the book has Black numbers.. So that's good enough for me..

To clear this up the plane has been known as Black 12. The plane is based on a Claes Sundin rendition of "Black 12" which can be seen here:

http://www.users.bigpond.com/markltuc/i ... _12_CS.jpg

Please note the tail number on this illustration and on your XD plane and you will see they are the same. So, the plane is actually "Black 12," and it's a pretty damn good paint job imo.

I can show you this new info and color photos if this board would allow inserting graphics into these replies, anywho if ya want to see this newer info and pics I can send them to you thru a personal email but I think yer convinced yer correct and know I'm correct, no disrespect just newer info on this particular bird.
