I'd say no news is bad news. Just my opinion but I doubt we see it concidering it was promised for an early 08 release. Hopefully I'm wrong. 1/18 aircraft was a new venue for them and with the current situation with China and the economy I'd say that's enough for them to scrap the idea...again just my opinion.

From Starshipmodeler at

"Pegasus Hobbies
Pegasus Hobbies are well known for their auto detailing parts and armor and aircraft plastic model kits. Now they're branching into sci-fi. Announced at the show were all-new kits of the 1950's War of the Worlds Martian War Machine (plated in metallic copper finish and including clear parts), a 1/144 diorama with war machines and tanks, the NSEA Protector from Galaxy Quest, a 'retro-concept' spacecraft called 'Apollo 27', a flying saucer 'Area 51 UFO AE-341.15B' and a version of Captain Nemo's Nautilus based on Jules Verne's book descriptions."
No mention of the X-1, sigh.

Dissapointing. Yet another post-WWII Jet in 1:18 I won't have. Although, you have to admit, it was really daring of them to go out on such a limb as the V-1 and X-1. Most companies would have started at something like, oh, I don't know... a P-51? They proved that there is market potential for the odd planes. I think they need to stick it.

Just noticed I put V-2 lol.

Talked to Erik at Pegasus Hobbies today about the X-1, same story as everywhere else. Things have slowed down, but it's now scheduled for release this summer. Hope it happens, still have a spot for it.
