Unusual scale, very good detail. Very nice, but pricey!

yes i've seen these before. Interesting piece. Not an uncommon aa system; used by many nations. No way worth the price though i don' t think.

Produced in the 80's ? I guess if you crocss your eyes again. Stand on your head and think wishful things you can get this to go with the F-4 Phantam that will be out in the next month or so. The Vietnam war ended in '75 but remeber you are standing on your head and thinking wishful things. So it could work.

It is a little pricy  $35 - $55 would be more like it.

no chance for vietnam and never saw combat except with argentina in the falklands.

There is a more vietnam era piece made; a twin 37mm aa gun. It's about 1/16 scale, pretty nice. You can find them for around $150 occassionally.

That may be true, but I heard its easier to put your pants on when you're upside down! That said, I think I'm going to go back and watch the stock market crumble on TV then stick my head in the oven. Who knows, I might get an epihany!

Produced in the 80's? Nope! It's a contemporary item, produced by some specialty model manufacturer in China.

no man, the gun that is represented by the model was first produced in the 80's and is still in service today with many smaller nations.

And Lightning....now is the time to be investing in stocks. Take all your extra money and put it in; 2 or 3 years from now (maybe much less) you'll reap a fortune. Of course if you're like me you were already fully invested before the crash. So borrow and invest. Of course with credit so tight you can't borrow. I guess i'll stick my head in the oven too, except it's electric and i can't afford to go buy a gas oven.

I think corystinson meant that the model is a contemporary model and not the real gun. I think.

huh?

he thought i meant that the model was produced in the 80's. The model is a recent creation. The actual artillery piece the model is modelled after first appeared in the 80's. It's a swiss or swedish gun. It has been used by many services over the years, including a variation used by china.

It was not used in vietnam. The only combat use for the gun was in the falkland islands war; used by argentina.

Correct. I misunderstood the post in two ways. I did not think aferg was making any 80's claim, more I thought that the eBay seller was reported to have said that. Guess I need to read things a bit more carefully!
