I am a fan of the M-3 Grant and Lee tank. Am I by myself or are there any other XD collectors who would like one as well? This would go well with the snub nose MK-IV. Of course the Mk-IV should be a Mk-III with earlier main drive and idel wheel but that is another post. There were a few Lend Lease ones out there on the Russian front giving those Panzers what not.
This is the tank that brought the U. S. into the war in Africa. The Brits took the Stuart (Honey) tank into the war before the Americans .

A M-3 would be great! I'd need to custom make a Bogart figure to go with it to recreate the one from Sahara.

Yes, a Lee or Grant in 1:18. Then make a 1:18 Humphrey Bogart figure to go with it.

I'd rather have an IS-2...but a Lee would be cool too.

I'm for any widely used piece of armor... Grant, Lee, Stuart... Bring them all on. The U.S. has a lot of pieces that would be nice to see made at some point. The Stuart would probably be my first choice for new armor as it goes very well with infantry around it. Some Sherman variants, especially D-Day variants, would be nice as well... If 21st ever gets its act together, maybe we'll see some of that stuff.
The Germans likewise have a LOT of good common armor I'd like to see... Not even considering other nationalities that have a lot of common pieces for the battlefield.

Is there one piece of armor from either side of the war that could be modified to several other variants easily?
Some of our rivet counters wanna chime in?
My thought would be for 21st, BBI or anyone else - to come out with a tank body that could have switchable turrets. Or armored car, apc, halftrack that could be easily adapted to several other vehicles.
Does any allied or axis tank or vehicle fit this tall bill?

the most switchable would be T-34 you coud just switch turrets for the /76 version and /85 version and KV-1/KV-2 where again you could just plop on different turrets to the same hull. Both should be sold this way if they are ever made.
The sherman chassis was also used for a variety of vehicles, both modified shermans like crabs, dd's, hedgerow cutters, dozers etc and vehicles like the priest.
For the Germans the panzer IV chassis was used for a great number of different vehicles; the most modifiable would be a wirblewind where you just need to plop on a new turret.
