Don't be so dramatic. It is only $2900. And it is from Switzerland.

I am guessing a drop ship from their overseas Swiss account?

The cockpit interior is one of the finest detailed I have seen so far.

Since i discovered the 1:18 market , i was aware of the HPH models (a dream !) thoses models are incredibles !
The funny thing about this auction is that this precise model was on sale 1 or 2 years ago with exaclty the same pictures ????????
Maybe this swiss gentleman has got the whole squadron ? and selling them one at a time ?
Anyway, i am the lucky owner of the BBI blue angels and wish to compare the 2 models side by side ! Of course i know that the "toy" would be blown away but considering the price difference i would be glad to have both
I am sure that there is not a lot of people who could afford theses prices but as soon as i win the lottery i will order the whole collection !

that price is very low for an HPH model. In fact it's so low it would make me suspicious. That's less than half what a new one would go for if you ordered it. And you'd have to wait a year for it and go pick it up at the nearest big city airport.
can't go wrong with a swiss citizen !

I think this auction didn't find a customer last time and now they begin to lower the price ? but concerning any suspitious activity of this swiss citizen : In my experience you can trust a swiss citizen 110% ! (i am working once a month in GENEVA and i think it's the safest country in the world ... & the people are really trusty ! it's a fact ! they are really straight ... if maybe a little too strict ? )
Do you know the retail price of HPH models like the F 18 ( ithought it was around 3000 dollars ? )

Prices for the HPH models are between 1300 and 3000 Euros when ordered new. A few ones like the Tomcat or the Mirage 2000 are more expensive. $2900 bucks for a second hand HPH model seems a fair price to me.

when i was checking them out a few years ago the F-18 worked out to about $6000CAN delivered. Which was about $4800US at the time. The Tomcat topped $10K. Shipping is well over $500 by air freight and has to be factored into the cost. Plus you have to wait a year or so to get it after you pay in full.
So i guess with all that $3K seems to be a very low asking price to me. I guess he's asking so little because hardly anyone can or is willing to pay that much for a plane model.

The plane is made out of Nazi gold.

i've never understood why HPH doesn't get on the ball and start 'mass producing' their 1/18 planes for about $200 a pop. They'd sell tons of them. They could make a simplified cockpit plug, do a more basic job of detailing, design it so it could be broken down into parts for shipping...
Some of the subjects they offer are amazing. Lots of modern jets, some WWII twins. I've emailed them before and suggested it and they just said that they are not interested.
Here's an incomplete list of what they make:

I know there is also a Heinkel 219 because i've seen pictures of it...and WoW is all i can say. I suspect there are other offerings by now, as well.
I investigated getting the Heinkel. It was $4200 plus $500 shipping, by air freight, which means i had to go to the airport to pick it up. Full payment is required in advance and it takes about a year to make.
So, in other words, i had to send $4700 to the Czech Republic and hope that a year later a plane showed up at my local airport, for me to go and pick up. Needless to say i didn't order it. I can't believe anyone would, given those conditions. They need a smart business person to run the place..

Now that's what I call detailed and precision model aircraft.

Considering they're hand made and extremely detailed that price isn't so ridiculous.. A Bbi Blue Angel brought almost $800 on ebay earlier this year.
