Discremination in action figures?

Never really thought about it until I saw something about Clint Eastwood and Spike Lee having a spat about no black people being in either of Eastwoods Iwo Jima films. G.I. Joe has always released most of its 1/6 figures in white, black, and even some Hispanic figures and 21st released quite a few. I don't recall having seen any black 1/18 figures from WWII. I have a ton of the 1/6 figures and I always bought one of each if they were released that way.
As far as the Iwo Jima films, I don't recall having ever seen any actual footage or photos of blacks in combat with the Marines in the Pacific. There were quite a few in combat in Europe late in the war even though they were segregated. Might be interesting to have some black figures to go with a Sherman to represent one of the black armored battalions. Any one know if any African Americans served in combat with the marines in the Pacific.
