junkers 88

Post by aferguson » Mon Sep 01, 2008 8:42 am

i cant find the thread i started on this some time ago but here is a nice video of the r/c ju-88 that's just come out. It's about 1/15.5 scale, for those who aren't too strict. Will cost about $200 and be well detailed, come pre painted, with decals, guns and many other details.

That looks sharp, Aferg. 1/15 is big, but considering there are no other similar sized twins to compare it to in 1/18, it might not make that much of a difference.

And for those of you who are willing/able to shell out $400 to $500 for a 1/18 scale display piece, you can order any one of the electric r/c warbirds Hobby Lobby has to offer as a complete package that gives you everything you need to build a flying model that looks almost as good, and in some cases better than our 1/18 scale display pieces we have now. Just imagine, you could display it on a shelf in your house and then take it to the local park and fly it. I don't know about you, but I know which one I would throw $400 at first.

man I love to have that Junkers...but I have had zero luck with R/C flying in the past with almost-ready kits...and I could never touch my dad's real R/C planes that he would build from the blue-prints up.

But I like that Junkers.
