Any U.S. suppliers of Heng Long accessories???
I have several of the Heng Long 1/16 Tiger tanks. I would like to upgrade to the aluminum barrels and brass muzzle brakes. And yes, I know they will no longer fire with these barrels. None of mine work anyway. Just static models. I have found quite a few overseas dealers who sell these parts. Have not been able to find any U.S. dealers for these parts. Any of you RC guys run across any? Seems that there has to be some available here in the U.S.

You can try ETO Armor
http://www.etoarmour.com/about.php
I've had good experience with them for the most part.
I got Impact tracks,sprocket/Idlers, swing arms and some other bits for my Panzer III for $10 more than the standard Mato tracks and drive wheels.
As for aluminum muzzle brakes and barrel for Tigers.
I got mine from Stella models ebay store. They are the exact same ones offered by many other dealers selling for $35 barrel/ $19 brake.
I got my barrel for $15 with the "make an offer" option and $9.99 for the brake

Of course the barrels are made for Tamiya Tigers so you may need to modify your tank a bit to get it to fit.
Also Stella models is in Hong Kong, but I assumed you were mostly concerned with cost and shipping over geography.

You can also try RC Command (formerly RC Scalemodel)

They are in the states and seem to be making an effort to get parts and upgrades for these tanks.

Just received a couple of the aluminum one piece barrels and muzzle brakes. Whipped out the Drimel and made a big mess on the kitchen table with the little particles from the grinding. But, beautiful, just beautiful. Fits perfect. Got to order two more now for my other two Tigers.smittyrob64 wrote:You can try ETO Armor

Yes, got them from Stella models. I really don't understand why there are numerous businesses here in the U.S. that sell 1/16 armor, but its nearly impossible to find any that sell accessories other than maybe the metal tracks which, unfortunately, cost as much as the whole tank. I did get 2 sets of the metal U shaped shackles for $11 a set from Welsh Dragon Models (again, an overseas company) which is a bargain for those things. Kind of odd to, since so many of their other accessories are very overpriced. No photos yet. I'm one of those Neadertals that still use 35mm.
