Wouldn't it be cool to have a line of general aviation aircraft, 172, Pipers, King airs and such. I think they would be small enough. Might even be able to make some of the smaller business jets. Citations, beech jets, Lears, and hawkers to name a few. I would be happy with a Cessna 172.

The only civy's planes that I would be interested in would be the Spirit of St. Louis and the original Wright Flyer.

I would love to see some general aviation models. How about a nice 18th scale J3 cub? COOL!

There are balsa kits of some civil aviation planes in existence. Unfortunately, this means that one has to build them and then cover them with lacquered tissue paper. My father built a model of an Aeronica (an antique two-seater, similar to a Piper cub) in this manner.
Then there is always the repaint option of painting some existing 1:18 planes into their post-war civilian counterparts and such. 21c did give that a try, however, repainting their Huey into an "Air America" scheme. It sold poorly if I recall...

It would actually be cool to have some of the smaller business jets. You could use them for civil reasons, and you could use them as military cargo planes.
My son could set up his GI Joe so they could raid the plane in a drug bust. HA!

Only someone my age would know this...
But in Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas there was a plane simply called "Cropduster" as a lot of vehicles are generic, like trash trucks and things, and licensing several hundred vehicles would be insane.
Anyway, the cropduster in that game is modelled EXACTLY like the Grumman Ag Cat, which makes sense. Kind of cool when you finally figure out the real life counterpart. (years later) But there's a P-51, and a Harrier that actually hovers and such, an AH-64... Sea King. I could go on. I mainly liked the game for all the aviation slaughter options.
But you're right. That damn plane looks so mean with that short length from the cockpit to the tail. I flew it a lot... and yes... I pretend crop-dusted. People.

Except, ya know, the Rustler doesn't look all that much like a Mustang.

But it's supposed to be a Mustang, and it has very close lines. Not exact.

Nothing really Mustang like about it.
I've spent enough hours shooting down Hydras with the damn thing.
And don't make me break out the comparison photos, either.
