Deja Vu in Big Lots

So, today I am out on my lunch hour getting some last minute things done before I go on vacation. I am heading to the Post Office and decide to stop at Big Lots to see if they have anything. I am in the toy area and look up on the shelf to see a bunch of Golden Compass miniture cars, action figures and the big double balloon vehicle.
Okay, I just recently got these items at TRU for: Minature cars: 2.00, Figures:2.98 each, and the big double balloon vehicle: 3.98
I take a look at the Big Lot prices: Minature cars: 6.00, Figures: 4.00 each, and the big double balloon vehicle: 15.00
It's interesting to see items come out like this and go from BRAND NEW ITEM at FULL RETAIL price (I am sure the ballon thing was like 29.99 when first released) sit on the shelf until clearanced to nearly nothing (Mutt Williams your day is COMING!
) and then end up in the secondary markets for near half it original retail cost and the process starts again until it's sold...
If this movie had done better, you would have seen this stuff going for a pretty penny on Ebay.
Capitalism! You gotta love it.
