AT Sabre quality

I purchased a Luftwaffe AT Sabre from Flying Mule a few months ago for the bargain basement price of $19.99 (yes, $19.99!) a few months ago and just opened it last night. I had a few issued which left me flumoxed.

Both the rear headrest panel and the cockpit seat were loose despite quite a bit of glue used during assembly. I scraped it all off and re-glued it and all is now copacetic in Sabre-land. I did not think much of it because I wonder if I got FM's display model.

When I went to loosen the pilots joints, his right arm broke off at the shoulder! Then, when I went to place him in the cockpit his left arm snapped! To top it all off, I am trying to wedge him in the cockpit prior to glueing his arms back on and have noticed his legs won't splay out enough to get them into the control panel cut outs. Has anyone else had this problem or did I just get a bad figure?

I guess I could break off his legs and call him Bob...It would be an awfully short first flight though.

I agree that both the 21st and admiral pilot are horrible. Luckily, I have only broken off one arm of my 21st F-86 pilot, and managed to repair it with a custom built peg.
