Hello to all !

I need some help with the BBI Hellcat and the BBI Corsair : both have landing gear problems (i ve ordered both to an ebay seller )

CORSAIR : the Landing gear is inverted left in place of the right

HELLCAT : Impossible to put the legs straight (the 2 legs stays with an angle )

I must confess that i am really desappointed with the quality of both model i usually regard BBI products as high standards so i think of 2 options :

1- BBI is going down with the competition (not probable)

2- I am victim of some chineses pirates and theses models are fake copies ?

I will complain to the chinese guy on ebay and will let you know the outcome of this sad affair (i was excited by a good deal 35 us dollars each )

so the question is how to fix this without destroying evrything :?:

PS : do not rush on too good deals , the seller is Q-spark in china (35 us dollars each !!!!!! )

after seeing some pictures

after seeing some pictures i am almost sure that theses models are fake (the pilot is different ) i am disgusted because the box and evrything seems perfect but after close examination ther is a lot of problems : finger prints evrywhere, and strange pieces colors .... etc....

SUPERSONICFIFI:

I've considered Q-Spark before because they were selling some BBI planes (P-51 Cripes A Mighty, etc.) I was looking for, but the distance and shipping cost to the US was too expensive and too far.

However, they seem to specialize in BBI models and have sold a bunch of BBI Hellcats and their customer satisfaction rating is very high---99.4% and no complaints filed.

If you paid by PayPal and can prove that the Corsair and Hellcat are not as advertised, can you get a refund via PayPal?

If you used a credit card, perhaps you can file a dispute with the credit card company.

yes

yes i am going to fill a dispute with the seller but so far it was good communication and fast service : so i will let him the chance to explain !

i need some pics too to compare (i am afraid that theses models are rejected from the factory for quality defect and it can be a little illegal traffic ! i ve heard that in china nike as 2 factories for the same shoes : one factory for the lefts and one factory for the right ....)

i ve just sent a message to this gentleman and will let you know.

But ther is a chance that i will fix all the defects myself

Hey Super don't touch it untill you get an answer. A factury defect does has it's uses but should be half the money.

I noticed both of Q-Spark's Hellcat and Corsair have "(MASS)" in their ebay entries. I thought this might mean "MASSIVE" box, but they're also selling a BBI 1/18 AH-64 which does not have "(MASS)" on it. I wonder what "(MASS)" means.

bbi 1:18 F6F HELLCAT (MASS)#21725

bbi 1:18 MARINE CORSAIR (MASS)
#21648

bbi 1:18 AH-64 Apache Helicopter #21249 HOT SALE!!!

my advice is for the moment to avoid q-spark till i ve got some news from him ! i will leave him the benefit of the doubt ! he was nice and efficient

does anybody have some pictures of both BBI corsair and hellcat pilots ? i want to make a study to compare.

ALL the parts seems to be from BBI but are not well finished and for exemple each wing has slightly differents shades of blue.... i asked the seller directly if theses models are really genuine ... i will fwd his answer .... wait and see

Thanx for your support

the models are workable

The guy told me that due to shipping prices he will make an effort on my next order (?) he is quite nice and not the pirate i was afraid he could be ....

i don't know what to do ? should i complain to ebay ?

Th models are workable but there is a lot of things to correct ... i am a bit desappointed and will order now from BADCATAVIATION (no surprise on their side ...)

:(

"Mass" means mass-market retailers (i.e. Wal-mart, Toys R Us). When a product is designated in this way it means the production run or assortment is intended for mass-market retailer as opposed to specialty market.

this guy is nice but i really think he is approvisionned at the factory one way or another ....maybe undercover operations ? , the prices are low, shipping are OK but the quality is ... not so good .

Watch out for problems... with quality
