Blame flying squid with jet engines, talking bananas, and frickin' Ronnie James Dio : The leading culprit behind everything.

What has RJD done to any of us?
VMF, I am afraid I will die before I ever get my MTS Dauntless or Zero.
Any word from MTS anyone? They quit responding to my e-mails over these planes.

Nothing, I just like to use his name, it just sounds evil, so I like to use him as a scapegoat for household affairs...
"Why is the cat stuck in the toilet, STEPHEN?"
"RONNIE JAMES DIO did it! I swear! Look, DEVIL HORNS!" -holds up hand with horns-
"TOLD YOU!"

The whole preorder thing is such a bunch of crap. They have no idea when these models will be released.

The BBI Dauntless has been pushed back as well. I was hoping to get mine this month but I was told it won't happen until August at the earliest.

Yep my preorder is so old my card has since expired. Luckily I know MTS will give me a call to get the new one. I bet the dang thing never shows up. Maybe it accidently got a lead paintjob.

I talked to MTS at the World War II Weekend in PA this last weekend. They have not heard from the AT since April. Without communication from the rep there is no way for them to know the status other than MIA. Same goes for the Zero - manufacturer/production are holding it back. They were great guys to talk to. They wish they had more news to pass on to us.

Thanks Buckyroo. That is bad business to not speak to your customers. For better or worse there aren't too many companies producing 1/18 so unless they choose not to offer their line there isn't much MTS can do.

I tell ya it's the olympics, commandeering every shop for the trinkets.
And of course they can't tell us "that" as that would piss even more people off.
But China is not a democracy and theys say what is what over there.

Opens to door for enterprizing custom modelers and mold makers...

I agree I have been told by a plastic company here in South Dakota that many but not all plants are geared up for making trinkets for the olympics.
btw it sounds like a lot of plastic companies are looking to start up In south dakota in response to higher shipping cost from china and the recent attitudes towards toy manufacturers.
Along with that new law that prohibits toy companies from shipping directly from the factory to the port in said country to the distribution centers to all the major retailers.
Before the retailer's paid the bulk of shipping now it lays on the manufacture, which is costly. It now has to be check by customs here in the ole USA..I think thats right.
the toy manufacturing might come back in the country due to this new law.
This is just of the top of my head, but in a nut shell is corect.

This is good, I'd rather have faster production of new items, and pay a little more. Yeah, money's tight, but so are new products. =/
