Here is proof. This not the Wal-mart box but the same plane . I remeber when these were stacked to the ceiling.

Sadly, so do I. Should have gotten that NKK Spit that sat around forever and was even discounted a little bit when the box became trashed. My local Hobbytown also had some for a while, including a display plane that was not taken care of well. Better yet, really should have picked up one of the Corgi XD planes I found on sale at the RAF Museum in London three years ago. The price at the time equated to about $60, which was expensive for something then avaliable cheaper in the US, plus I had no room in my suitcase.



Still, even loose Spits seem to be commanding over $100 on ebay currently, so I could have sold it in the special box and probably made off well Nevertheless, I'm happy I got two Spitfires (the NKK and DWK versions) back when they were cheap. I don't feel like I missed the boat with this plane
