Hi all, Have any of you seen the modern Jets offered at Yellow Aircraft Intl. they seem to be somthing that would make my modern jet collection with out having to wait for BBi or AD or 21 to build 1/18 jets I know the price is a little high but the modern jets in 1/18 will be more than 150 i am thinking, I am saving up for Yellows F-4 and will order it when i have the money, about 375.00 ill post pictures when i get it and start building it!!

They look nice, especially for r/c but are all quite a bit larger than 1/18. They're around 1/9 with the SR-71 being 1/12.
Good luck on your project....should be spectacular when done.

GOOGLYDOOGLY:
$375---that's what the 21st Century 1/18 Steve Ritchie F-4D will cost when it's finally released.

NO!!!!! It's $89.99!!! I have 21st's flyer!!!!
But seriously, I bet it's gonna be higher than that. It seems like 21st is merely pulling numbers out of the air when deciding how much to price their items.
And once they see the custom 1/18th planes go for $300-$500....that will make them salivate...
They will think..if people are willing to pay $300-$400 for a little plane like the Komet...imagine what they would pay for a big plane like an F-4...

no that's no the sr-71 i was talking about. That one is about 1/23 scale and has a strange side profile.
I can't find a picture of it now but it's 1/12 scale and quite accurate. About 9 feet long. Spectacular.

Hi If you find the email address of the company selling the SR please let us know, that is another one of the jets missing from my collection of jet I just have to own. I was lucky enough to work on that airplane in the 70 and had quite the experience should have never left the squadron, but we do foolish things when we are young.
Lets have the F-4 in 1/18 and the Mig 21 would be nice also

it was made by yellow aircraft r/c. I don't see it on their site anymore so i guess it's out of production. Try emailing them, look on ebay and poke around r/c sites.

I would love to see a BBI 1/32 SR-71, F-4E with Tigershark nose paint and a Steve Ritchie F-4D.
Now I've seen 1/12 or 1/9 versions and Hobby Master's 1/72 diecast-----but still NO PLASTIC 1/32 versions!!!

After all the crap that flyer stirred up they better damn well offer it at that price. To us and every Admiral employee at least...

Paying the price

Hi all
After the fuel prices started a upward climb to the 4.00 a gallon level I am sure that prices for any hobby will have to take a upward swing, trucks bringing the product from where ever it come from will cost more and someone has to pay that difference, take a wild guess who that will be. Now comes the question, how much are we willing to pay for our product, will we pay 300 for a 1:18 scale F-4 ? just how high will the price go up before we do not really have to have it, only time will tell. If a F-4 does come out this year in 1:18 I will for sure get a couple, at what ever price they say, only because it is a airplane that holds personnel memories for me, but if they come out with some other jet aircraft at that price I may not get one, I can live without it. Well the year is just about half over and no 1:18 scale modern jets, lets see if we see something for Christmas.
