1:18 WW2 VW Beetle on eBay

I'm not sure how accurate it is. Not really something I'd be interested in but others may be. The shipping is really high though.

The one on eBay looks the same as one I have - just painted in a more military scheme. I think I got it at Walmart for 10 or 15 bucks.

Well, I can't see much detail in the photos, but what I can see is the wrong style bumper.

Someone just took an early 50's split window cabriolet and modified it just a little. Most people aren't aware of the small differences in model years. Might surprise some of you to know that over 5500 changes were made to the Beetle from 1949-1979.

I got the book "small wonder" and it list the changes made every year for the run of the beetle. Also tells the full history of Volkswagen.

Yours looks real cool. I like that blur effect in your VW camouflage pattern, but still prefer the dunkelgrau.

On a side note, my grandad on my father's side spent the war as a Dutch merchant navy captain running convoys for the Allies, and when he returned home after liberation he was apparently riding a captured VW with a Free Dutch Army chaffeur (or so I'm told).
