Target & BBI

Post by bpxbrian » Wed May 21, 2008 9:27 pm

Anyone think there is a chance that Target will restock BBI merchandise (Apache, Blackhawk, Tanks, etc.?) during the holiday season? After all, they still sell some BBI through their website.

I'm not so sure that we'll see the Apache and Blackhawk anytime soon, but the tanks may have a good possibility of reappearing again once they get rid of all those Bradleys that is taking up the space on their shelves.

As I remember, there was a new Sherman at the Toy show :?

That would be a nice thing to see on the shelves at the Big T ;)

BBI needs to expand their line to include the bad guys too, like Germans and Russians(who were good until the close of WWII)

I don't think the modern stuff was very popular, at least down here.
I always see modern stuff with red tags on them. No aircraft, just Bradleys and tanks. I think the WWII stuff sells better down here :)

The general public I think is sick of the war in Iraq and is not buying and models or toys of that era that will remind them of the war :(

Agreed Blasto. Kind of ironic. But then again, if I were a kid in America in 1943 I don't think I'd exactly want to play with a Tiger or Me-109. It's wierd to say this but I think most people see the military as the enemy. It hurts, really. I saw a thing on the news a while back where a soldier who I believe lost his legs in Iraq or Afghanistan came home and he was rolling down the street the war, and war protestors spit on HIM. Jesus people these days...

But anyway, last time I was at Target here, Bradleys.
