Hello all. New here – been collecting 1/6th for years, but haven’t done much in that arena in a while. So, my new thing (obviously since I’m here) is smaller scale. I’ve had the early 1/18th offerings from 21st for years (P-51, Stuka and 109) but have recently bought a couple of the 1/32nd “Dog fight” packages. My mom’s cousin is Urban Drew who famously flew the Detroit Miss (P-51D) – so I of course had to get that one. And I just picked up the P-40/F-190 set from Michigan Toy Soldier. Looking forward to finding the Corsair set next, although I’ve been on a mission to find the older 1/18th “Marine’s Dream” from bbi…among many many others!

Any way – looking forward to this new end of the hobby and to spending some time here!

Welcome to the board!! I have a signed copy of Drew's autpbiography. I love the part where he and a buddy take a tractor to the base commander's lawn..... hilarious! ;)

Thanks, guys (assuming every one here is a dude...)!

Just got back from another trip to MTSC. Picked up "Tex" Hill's P-40B by 21st. Now, if I only had a screwdriver in my office...

Urban Drew lives out in San Diego (I'm in MI) but last we spoke he was still doing well. I had the privilege of escorting "Ben" and another 19 vets through Europe for the 60th Anniversary of VE Day back ion '05. Boy did he have some great stories - most of which are in his book mentioned above.

Again - thanks for the welcome.
