If we are stuck with a KT, as oposed to a M-26, M-18, M-10, M-24, T-34/85, a Churchil, even a Scout car....a White, or a Dingo....... I don't much care what features the KT has, I have shelf space for it, and my wallet is ready to be pried open...

$89.99? sale price

if its that much i am out i will stick with my 25 dollar FOV 1/32 scale one. Plus motor pool is saying its the lower hull that is cast metal. I like it better when it is the upper hull and turret.

well, if the retail is anywhere close to $100 21c just shot themselves in the head.

100 USD is not all that bad...Lets consider the inflation of oil byproducts and transportation cost’s

I agree. That is a ridiculous price unless it comes with a full crew.
How can a tank be the same price as what they quoted as the price of the F-4? and more than triple the price of their normal 1:18 armor offerings. This could be the beginning of the end of 1:18 from 21st. Time to buy some more FOV to keep them alive! Competition is the only thing that will keep prices in check!

Anything die cast is going to cost more……. All the metals that go in to making die cast has gone up.
Come on we all know that a price hike was inevitable in this hobby.

VMF is right, Anything die cast is going to cost more.
The US dollar is not worth what it used to be, add supply and demand, cost of petroleum that makes our hobby run, and we get some significant price increases…..Still I will be ordering that King Tiger. Less than my FOV 1/16 Extreme Metal, which I still think is a bargain.
True the 1/18 FOV is less expensive but it took me three months to bring the Tiger 1 up to snuff…the 21st Century KT looks to be 80% there….Remember, bottom line if we don’t buy em, they wont make em.
have a seat...Here are some other prices...

Hmm, I suppose this is what happens after they lost their walmart 'subsidy.' I would hope that TRU will carry these at closer to a $60-$70 price, if they carry them at all.
Now, doesn't everyone wish 21st would have skipped the KT and went with the 38t series in 1:18 instead?

Well I will still buy both the 88 and KT but just one of each.

I planed to get quite a few of them but for $100 a few could only be 2.

The e-tailers need to charge more to make a profit. But it they do make their way to TRU I am sure that it wil be in the $50 to $64 range. Just like the Avenger and P-38. Why do they have to make it diecast ? I am happy with plastic. When they change the Shermans and Tigers to metal I could care less. It was under the paint . You could not even tell except for the weight. Make the KT out of plastic put some rocks in it

and we are good to go.

Looks like 21C gave me a whole new reason to continue my armor collection............. NOT.
For cryin' out loud, 90 bucks? Pre-order price? Are you kidding me? I agree, production costs have gone up, but this is a kick in the beans. Sad thing is, even less of the KT will be diecast than the Tiger was, and it still will cost more than double? I agree, sounds like 21C is trying to recover from the now defunct deal with Wally. If that is going to be their new sales strategy, good luck. They're going to need it.

Ouch is right, thats some big coin.

I wanted 4 or 5 of these Tigers.... I do hope they make it to TRU.
TKO if your out there could you give us some intel on this matter? And whats with this bicast stuff? ( bicast- metal and plastic. diecast - metal.) I'm fine with just plastic.

Any how I'm still looking forward to getting a few.

Yoxford is right, a lower US dollar means we will be paying higher prices.
I have a good feeling that by looking at the detail of the flak 88 that it will be worth every penny.
Btw the folks who run 21st and those that make our toys need to pay the bills and feed themselves
The thing is, I am not a rich guy and I am not all to bothered by this, I do have one ace up my sleeve I drive a doge neon , less gas means more XD.

Btw do we have another source for a preorder price on the tiger and flak 88?

well, the good news is that at this price, it is just a matter of time before retailers offer sale, or even clearance prices because there arent many mommies that are going to pay 90.00 bucks for a half plastic tank when they can buy a whole division's worth of toys from other companies. Between ToysRus markdowns and E-tailer inventory reduction sales, I'll get one eventually

(now if 21st had decent customer relations, I would pay full price, but that's another horse that has long been beaten to death)

I just knew the price was going to be UP there, just not that far UP there. I guess I don't have to eat for a couple of days, I need to lose weight anyway..
