It's new news!

I think we are looking at the new trend for all future 1:18 figures. These new preposed legs are really pretty cool. I can't wait to see new US troops with these.

Nice looking figures, but nothing really super exciting to me. My local Wal Marts got in tons of DAK figures last year (and still have a few) and the repaints hardly sold at TRU. I've already made a machine gunner and an artillery spotter with the DAK figures and German accessories I had! I really think 21c needs to concentrate their 1:18 figure-development efforts on producing some British figures as well as Russians.

Still the articulated arms and the kneeling legs are very nice touches

How about a dual set with an mg-34 on a tripod with a gunner and loader in Dak colors. Loose the lace up boots 21st. The troops hated them! Tko, it's about time on the reissue of the old item.

At least give 21C some credit for releasing some figures to tie in with an upcoming vehicle (the 88). Also the fact that both the figures and vehicles are painted for the same theater.

Does the arty fig have a pistol molded into the hand?
That would be a new thing for 21stC to do.

I wouldn't think so... Idk... It didn't seem like there'd be any room for it in the packaging normally...

I think they've done pistols molded in hands already, which I don't personally care for, but that's the first German with it. I don't see a holster though offhand...

I like the figures, but I really wish they'd get the right ammo on figures. That's really disappointing me as time rolls along. They really need to do figure bodies with NO ammo on them at all, and then make the ammo a separate accessory... Like they did with many older figures. They need to do it for KAR98 ammo and M1 ammo though as well, not just the MG pouches.

Anyway, they're real neat army builders IMO, and I think the artillery crewman was a no-brainer given the 88's paintjob. I'll buy a couple of each for certain.

I really like these figures - already have a ton of the older figures - stores kept restocking them -

I would love to see extra legs on some ETO guys - that's where most of my collection and army-building happens. I also hope they introduce prone and cross-legged to mix it up.

A welcome addition to the DAK line in my book.

When will 21st century learn that the Kar 98 cartridge belt doesn't work for the MP40- MP44? Instead of moulding the Kar pouches to the figures, just mould a regular equiptment belt and then we can add on the proper items. Come on, this isn't rocket science!!!!!! This isn't a extreme detail like rivets on a plane, it's common knowledge. WAKE UP!!!!

BTW, the M1 Garand cartridge belt doesn't work for the M1 Carbine, BAR nor the Thompson either!!! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!

I like them but I bought a lot of the other DAK guys. I'll probably get 2 of each anyway, to make use of both leg sets.

Now we need someone for them to do battle with.

Positive:
- New headsculpts on WWII figures (finally!)
- new extra legs
- DAK is always a good choise
- It's nice to see new WWII figures

Negative:
- not really fresh and exiting
- I don't like Erdmanns face expression.
- wrong amo pouches and a minimum of weapons
- Both are not the Fallschirmjäger I'm waiting for

I have always just taken a razor knife to the ammo pouches.

I don't model the African theater, but I will get these DAK guys because I can convert 'em, paint 'em and put 'em in service in the Arden. Yep all the DAK I have will eventually be redone and repainted  Gotta buy them and support the 1 18th cause  :D Da General

Finally, they've given us a figure with a MP-40. :) Now I'll have to start complaining about not having any MG-42's. :D

Thanks, 21st Century.

I feel the same way. That's one reason I bought so many FOV Germans. The MP-40s!

I love the look of the XD MP-40. A true, functional stock? Fantastic! Is this a new mold, or has a folding stock version been produced before?

Appears to be the same folding stock that's been issued previously.

If you want a really nice MP-40, check out the ones from Dragon. Removable clips, etc.. very cool..
