New to Forum

Post by P39time » Wed Jan 23, 2008 2:44 pm

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I wanted to say hello. I have been collecting 18th scale models for a few years, and I am a huge fan of WW2 aviation. My favorite plane is the Bell P-39 Airacobra. I love the lines of that plane, and I hope to one day see it in 18th scale.

Thanks,
Jarod

A P-39 would be cool in 1/18 scale.

Welcome to the board :D You'll find that we're an ecclectic bunch, but that we all share a common interest in military history, hardware, and of course, small-scale representations of that hardware

Not sure when, if ever, that we'll see a P-39 in 1:18, but there is one about to be released in the 1:32nd scale by Unimax for their Forces of Valor line 8)

Welcome, you will really like this forum. And it is good to see you are a P-39 fan. I am with you, it is a great looking plane, and I would be first in line to get an 18th scale version of the Airacobra. :D

Hello Jarod:

Welcome to board. Best place on the www for accurate 1:18 aircraft, armor & figures.

Love the P-39 too. My Grandpa worked for Bell Aircraft in Buffalo, NY during WWII and talked about the Airacobra quite a bit.

Maybe one day we will see an example in 1:18

I am up the road in Palm Beach County.

Cheers

Welcome!--I am a Buffalo boy by birth and my very 1st airshow was at Bell Aerospace in the very ealry 80s. I, too, hope there will be a P-39 in the near future.

I will chime in as well. Welcome and I agree ,the P-39 would be a great plane in 1/18 scale. It was one of the first models I built as a kid. I think it was in 1/48 scale. You also have company . Airacobra is on this forum as well . He is in the process of blowing up a paper scale model to try a stab at making one in 1/18 scale

Welcome fellow military and small scale addict. I've grown to be an addict of the forums as well... :D It's a great place, enjoy yourself and most of all, come to the dark side... 1:32...

P-39 in 1:18? In Russian colors? Oh boy, that would be the day I spill my guts into WWII XD.

Sorry Aferg, I'm not trying to recruit members for my 32X cult...
