Alright guys, I have now proven scientifically that I am retarded. I need a little help.

Today I picked up a BBI "Daisy June" Corsair and am having a little trouble with assembly. For whatever reason I am coming up with a sizable gap between the fuselage and the wing root. Three times I have assembled and disassembled this looking for some way to snug this up. It is aligned properly but does not want to seem to seat. Is this par for the course or does anyone remember having this issue?

Secondly, there does not appear to be a way to lock the rear wheel in the down position. Mine is pretty darn loose and I am afraid to pull on it in an attempt to lock it in place. I peek inside the tail wheel well shows that it does appear to be fully engaged. Once again, is there a trick or is this a flaw in what otherwise appears to be a beautiful bird?

You'll have to push the tail wheel until it clicks and locks. Not sure about your wings though.

This BBI corsair probably has to be favorite of all 1:18 ACs. Detail and paint app is almost flawless, putting it together went without a hitch, and feels pretty darn sturdy.

I have the "Daisy June" Corsair, as well as "Marine's Dream." As for the tail wheel, just push it until you hear a click. That should mean the wheel strut is locked. That is what it does on both my planes. Also, there will be a little bit of a gap between the wing-root and the fuselage - its not an absolutely perfectly tight fit. It may be worth checking for any little defects in the plastic, such as those little rough spots caused by runoff from the mould. At worst, you could use a little superglue to hold the wing section and fuselage together.

Just got a Daisy June and she puts my old 21st Century Corsair to shame. I must admit I've folded the wings so I haven't tried to get them to fit tight, but the tail wheel is just a hard push to get it to lock. I was afraid of breaking something but after I carefully looked at the inside design, I got bolder and pushed harder until it clicked. I also just got a BBI Zero and I am a bit disappointed in the fit of the wings to the fuselage. Looks like superglue will be corrected the 1/4 inch sag that occurs on one side (less obvious on the other).

Well, I guess the Zero is a tad disappointing when you have something like the BBI Corsair. BBI probably dropped the QC on the Zeros, as all I've heard so far are complaints--still an incredible plane overall nonetheless.

Might be a bit of a Chinese conspiracy with the Zero. There are two countries the Chinese have no use for, Taiwan and Japan.
