I bought both new dual packs on Friday at the Wal Mart in Scarborough, ME. They had a whole peg loaded with them. I may go back for seconds...

Is there anything new about these figures other than there are two in a package? Do they have all new sculpts, or same as before? :?:

They appear the same except for the new camo pattern on the Germans. Hope the dual-pack line branches out to include A) new figs B) figs that go together for some reason - like a 30. Cal team. How awesome would that be?

I'll go ahead and pick them up since they have new camo pattern, but you are right, I hope they branch out to have teams.

Too bad distribution aint fair ;) I was looking for the FoV for 3 months before they finally showed up at a local Target. I never saw the new SdKfz 251/22, so I'm hoping to have a go at the S2 when it's released. I imagine the dual packs will show soon.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, there are 3 new cammo patterns for the German's coming out: the two German two-pack are different, and then the Geman soldier who comes with the American is totally different as well.

jlspec, where you from man?

Yeah they've been in the Pittsburgh area now for a couple weeks... Most Wal-Marts here have them so far. Pegspace for 2 pegs worth is the allotment on these with about the same for the basic single packs from what I've seen...

I'm content with $8 and change for 2 figures, so I'm not counting on new sculpts, at least not right away, with something that's just basically financial gravy for 21st... Let these sell, and maybe it'll fuel some brits or other new figures we actually want at some point.

I know I've pushed the idea of "Mortar teams" and "MG teams" too with these. They're ideal for the kind of set-up to me. I'd love an MG-42 team with a belt of ammo and ammo drums.

I'd really REALLY like to see 21st change though to figures that have NO specific gear (ammo pouches) molded on though, and move to a modular format where all ammo pouches are removable and interchangeable with other figures. It would add tremendously to diversity and accuracy if we could actually give MP40 or 44 pouches to soldiers using those weapons, and give KAR98 pouches to riflemen... Likewise with M1, BAR, and clip bags.

Simply make one non-ammo'd torso for any uniform type, and add the ammo in as accessories from there. :? I honestly don't know why this isn't the format now since it makes more sense and would've maximized their utility on mold toolings already.

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

Found the two-packs here in my area this morning. Even though they are re-paints, it is nice to have them in hand. Am I correct that there are only two varieties at this time?
It is what it is.

Cool man, it's nice to have someone else around in this hobby... I'm from Armstrong County's southern tip, which puts me on Westmoreland's border. Actually, I'm pretty close to Allegheny's northern end too, and southern Butler County... They all meet off the Allegheny at Freeport so that's part of my stomping grounds. A new WM and Target are opening in March on Route 28 so I'll have something new to haunt.

I also frequent Greensburg... So it'll kind of be nice us both covering different areas around here. I don't get near your area ever, that's for certain. ;)

RE: the two packs... there seem to be 3 different camo schemes. One German figure comes with a US figure and the other 2 pack are both Germans, but all 3 Germans have different camo patterns.
