* [+] > I called FoV earlier this week and had a chat w/ one of their Rep's , Maria.

* I told her that I liked their New WWII line very much and that I belonged to a club called Small Scale Headquarters on the net , and that most members have welcomed their New products and that myself included of course , would like to see more and possibly have the line expanded , even to "Enthusiast" status in the future.

........ She said , " We are exploring this possibility of expanding and up-grading the product to that level , however the current line was just a test to market in T@RGET stores specifically and I'm sure that fans will see more eventually". She went on to say that their New 1:18 Line has been received quite well so far and "we are aware of the sales too".

* Just thought you'all would like to know.

Great news! Ya think they could ship some of this alleged 1:18th product line to the North East?

Their product would be received even better if we could find it.

Here here! I hope FOV and Target know there are plenty of us out there who would love the throw our hard earned dough on these items.

Sometimes I wonder what the purchasing power of this forum is. Between the active members and lurkers who view but don't post my guess is we are a large minority of toys sales. I bet those of us involved here are worth 10K+ figures and a thousand or so tanks.

Dear MG-42, is there a reason for the posts in italic?

Are you in the Puget Sound area dragon? If so, where did you find them?

This is really no great surprise, and is more or less what many of us expected, with FOV's initial entry into 1:18 they were going to go slow and easy to "test the waters" so to speak. Great info Mitch...thanks for sharing it with us, and it's very encouraging to hear that they are pleased with sales, it should bode well for us in terms of new and better offerings in the future. 8)

I have a sign on the wall in my office that reads: "There's no reason for it, it's just my policy"

Good job, MG!
I think the sales for FOV 1:18 would improve EVEN MORE if I could find them in the Target stores in Elyria, Avon, Medina, Strongsville, Parma, and Great Northern...yes, I've been to them all in the past few days and NOTHING!

One of the online retailers posted their estimated statistics on this a while back. Our numbers were pretty low, less than 10% if I recall correctly. We aren't an influencer either of any real measure. Most of those folks don't ever visit this forum and read a review, much less become members.

That being said, while there are only a few of us compared to the massive amount of muggles out there, cool is cool. The majority here think 88 is cooler than the quad trailer trailer. When it comes out, we'll never see the real numbers but it's an easy bet that the 88 will far outsell and command higher ebay prices than the quad. Think you'll see a repaint of the quad? Who knows.. Think you'll see one if not two repaints of the 88. Hell yes..

21C pulled back on 1:18, the majority here said that scale wasn't done yet by a long shot. FoV got in the game and their stuff flew off the shelves, Pegasus popped into the game and their rocket sold out and so on..

I'm guessing if the Indiana Jones Russians are halfway decent that they will disappear as well. Again, we've been begging for Russians and there they go..

So what we are is a market indicator.

MG-42:

If you're in a long distance calling mood, also contact Merit International and see if they will give any updates from BBI on:

1. Any entirely new 1/18 or 1/32 planes
2. Any repaints of the F-4

I'd love to see a 1/32 F-15C Eagle and a F-22 Raptor.

Thanks a lot. I hope Merit can give me some hope on more great planes like their F-4J being released.

I appreciate your effort so much, I'm not even going to make fun of your type face.

the 1:18th line has been good.
when these first came out, all i've seen is an empty peg labeled with those Bravo Team stuff. but no stocks. and if you happen to see some at a local Target, they probably got 1 case of those figures & vehicles. but no way they gonna flood the stores yet.

i think it was both a "testing" phase for both Panche/Unimax & Target, it kinda reminded me of the current 25th Anniv GI Joe series. where the toyline was a little bit difficult to collect, coz of the low supply and the fact that Target has been testing the waters.

and just like everyone else in here, i do hope to see more from Panache/Unimax in the future.

went to a local target and they have the bradleys, nothing else, have no idea if they got tiger or sherman in between my visits.

hopefully FOV is encouraged to do more unique 1/18 stuff not already
done.

The door is open...
