They don't come off, unless you want to take the whole bird apart.

Actually, they do come off :shock: if you use a couple of flat-bladed screwdrivers, a fair amount of effort :lol: .... and some rude language when you hear the sound of cracking plastic. :cry: :oops:

I started by lifting the leading edge of the starboard stab by hand and shoving a screwdriver underneath it heading centrewards, then levering against the top surface of the fuselage. The loud "snap!" persuaded me that I should quite while I was still slightly ahead - I think it was only (!) part of the front locator tab that broke off as there's now a small bit of plastic rattling around loose in there somewhere. Oh, and a couple of dents in the bottom of the fin where the metal screwdriver blade crushed the plastic :roll:
