Very interesting, I guess the Gungans were in cahoots with the Germans.

Not a chance. The Germans were far too successful to have used Gungan lu-sah. It's more likely the Germans presuaded the annoying little buggers to give their tech to America - I mean, how many "American" designs did not borrow from other nations' work??
(Now please excuse me while I find a convenient rock to hide under... for a month or so!

Maybe the Gerrys implemented the tech into their own design after they conquered Naboo.

I mean, check out some of those weapons they had. They must have had to come from another world, right?

Sometimes it isn't fun to be a member of this board. You guys speak about Gerrys, hate, enemies etc. Come on guys, the war is over since over 60 years. I really don't like this Nicknames and I don't like this black/white thing. Every american = hero, every german = evil.

Definitely no disrespect intended.

I believe that I can speak for everyone on this forum when I say there's nothing but respect for all those who fought in WWII from all nations. I think that most of us here just like to kid around a little. We all know that not every German was a nazi and that not every Japanese soldier was a kamakaze, but most of us refer back to WWII on this forum. If I offended you or anybody on the forum I'm truly sorry.

Sure, I have "nothing but respect for all those who fought in WWII from all nations." Including those who made my father's life misserable while they were trying to take over the world. There, I said it.
PS. Know what? Sometimes it's not fun to be overrun by the armies of a nation bent on world domination.

The Germans of today are not the Germans of yesterday. They do not bear responsibility for actions that took place before they were born, anymore than I as a white American bear responsibility for those who enslaved blacks here in the past, or those who slaughtered the Indians.
My wife is part Armenian and still hates the Turks, even though all the responsible parties died decades ago. I am half Australian and those same Turks slaughtered Aussies at Gallipolis. But I cannot blame the current generation of Turks for what their fathers did. My wife and I fight over this issue all the time.
Grudges against offspring make no sense. What is this, the Hatfields and the McCoys?

I am truly sorry Mandalore. I meant it only in jest and I was actually unaware that there was anybody from Germany on this board. Again, I am deeply sorry if I offended you.

Even the Germans of yesterday were not the Germans they portray all the time! Maybe it was being in the wrong place at the wrong time? Maybe it was the changing political climate, as can/has happened in the U.S. It can happen anywhere to anybody!
I am a product of Post War Germany! My mother (former Hitler Youth), a German refugee from Breslau ending up in Bamberg, my father a young G.I. My Uncle was in the SS attached to an anti aircraft unit (not totally by choice).

Many family friends in Hitler's Army that were not there for their dedication to him! It was a matter of life and loss of property! In those days in the 50's I was the target of many mean or bios dependent children and branded with many names related to the German past! I was born in Germany as a dependent Brat! Time has healed all those scars!
Get over it!

Anyone who didn't get this is truly deprived.
About the whole "name-calling" thing... I agree, it probably should be curtailed. Terms like "Jap" and things aren't really appropriate these days... Everyone, to the best of my knowledge anyway, around here were a bit too young to be using the phrases of the day. I get the whole mood though too, so it's just maybe a matter where people should just be courteous of other's feelings/backgrounds...
I wonder what Americans were called by Germans by the way? I can't think of anything but "Yankee" as a slang for Americans, but the British called us that, so was it bad?
Ah well... Yeah, though, the terminology of the day doesn't really apply fairly to anything today I'm afraid.

Apology accepted, Col.Pickle.
It wasn't my intention to turn this funny thread into a political discussion. But sometimes when I read stuff like that I wonder about the political education of some members. Maybe there are a few guys here who should watch more CCN and less history channel. Yes, the germans were hated all those years ago and that for a good reason. Everyone in germany is well aware about that today. But we live in a totally different century today. The generation of my grandfather fought this war, and most of them are dead today. And even this generation wasn't that bad. They just followed the wrong leader. People suffered hunger and diseases after the lost first world war because of the contract of verailles. So some of them wanted revenge and better live conditions and followed the wrong leader. The rest of the people had no choise. I'm sure you guys all know this.
I hate this black & white thinking and I hate those nicknames like Krauts or Gerrys.
@King O' Fools: You know what? The life of my both grandfathers were miserable too. These guys had no choise. Every guy was a soldier at those times. You had to follow your orders or you were imprisoned or shot. One of my grandpas became a deserter after he had been wounded in a battle in france (he was a tank driver). He simply didn't want to go back to this war again. He hided somewhere until the end of the war. If he would have been found by his own troups, they would have killed him.
@Jesse James: The germans called the american soldiers "Amis", but that wasn't disrespectful, it was just a short form. Also there wasn't much hate against US troops or UK troops anyway. Germans of that time period hated the russians the most. Noone wanted to fight United Kingdom or USA.
PS: Yeah, and gungans suck! I hope my country has nothing in common with the species of Jar Jar Binks. This guy ruined Episode I, their technologie would have ruined our military too.
