I went to the Target at the mall in Milford, CT yesterday. I picked up two each of the four new FOV paratroopers.
They also had some of that other series, but frankly after looking at those I decided not to get any. I liked the little personal details on them, like the glow sticks and whatnot, but the quality of the molding is poor and, more importantly, they are not really 1/18 scale. Put next to the FOV guys they are way too big, and the FOV guys themselves are already a hair larger than BBI or 21C figures. So that series is a pass for me.
On the other hand, the new paras are pretty sweet and I'm sure I will get more as time passes. Now I just have to wait til the Stryker comes along around here.

1/18 Scale FOV Stryker Info?
Has anyone seen or heard any new information regarding when the 1/18 Scale Stryker? Is it still supposed to be released?

The orlando area is the same way, no wwII figs. Tons of modern figs.Fritzkrieg wrote:I did a western Palm Bech County Toy run yesterday. Most of the WWII FOV figs are disapearing, with mianly modern figures still filling the pegs. I'm hoping Unimax will offer some repaints in their WWII line.
I hope unimax makes new wwII figs soon.

I'm seeing a lot of 1:18 armor disapearing off the shelves. The modern figs have been selling well also. I'm seeing just a couple of the WWII US soldiers, but no Germans. I bought the bulk of the Germans myself. I wonder if this is the result of a 1:18 starved market? Hopefully this line is selling well nationwide, and it's not just a regional fluke. I'd like to see this line expanded and hopefully the Tiger will return.

Try checking Targets at a important major city or check a few Targets at another county to find the large box vehicles.fogger1138 wrote:Most of the stores in my area have 1-2 Shermans, 1-2 Bradleys and maybe one or two other odds and ends. I have yet to see an Abrams at retail.
The distribution varies in my AO from what I've seen in LA and OC. LA is rather scarce for 1:18 vehicles, very few stores carry the medium size vehicles (Sherman, Bradley, M16).
While OC being the most abundant with nearly every store carrying medium size vehicles and every "other" store carrying the large size vehicles (Abrams).. weird..
Anyways, I bought two more M16s to show my support to Unimax, I now have three. I can't wait for the LAV-25 to be released!

Funny that you have the larger vehicles in So Cal. There are six stores in Fresno, with most having a mixture of the medium sized vehicles such as the Sherman and M16s. Last week, I was passing through So Cal, stopped at a random Target (Brea) and they had the M1s. It has been well over a year since I saw one at a Target in my area.
Not that it really matters to me, though, as I have both the Bravo Team 1:18 M1s in desert and woodland cammo and don't need any more
