Went to the Detroit MI area this weekend for a family event. Made a point of checking out the WM near our hotel (in Troy). Was very pleased to pick up the S2 Japanese, plus 3 of the OMG figures (I skipped the OMGs with the bright white, movie-star teeth)!

Aside from Tman's recon, anyone see the new Corsair, Stuka or the F-104 in California?

Found the German F-104 at a WM here in Central AR - $40.

Nothing else of significance to report...

Interesting find here in the Gates NY WM today - Japanese S1 figs packaged in the S2 cards. They also had the OMGs.

Found a ton at Walmart today!

The new Humvees covered and non-covered. They had the Dodge Weapons carrier, and a whole ton of OMG figures. This was at the Wal-Mart in the Orange Mall (Orange County, CA). I didn't get any... so they're probably still they. They also had three S1 BF-109 G-6s and one Eagleston P-47 Bubbletop.
They had a huge assortment of 1/32. I didn't look at them, but there had to be 20+ of various armor.

One Walmart was placing RC Tanks and some planes on Clearance This Wed. So I decided to take my RC PZ IV back and exchange it for a plane.

They did not have the plane I was looking for but I received the full price of $49.99. refund - when I only paid $30.

How did you manage that? Wasn't the $30 on your register receipt?

Am I still the only person in Ca. thats found the Tropical Stuka and Bunker Hill Corsairs? I'd have thought that if they were in my AO, then they must be elsewhere. Strange...

The local Wally has had three pegs full of Marines and two FW190's since before Christmas. Last week they "re-set" adding another peg for figures and dedicated space for vehicles. Today I found four pegs full of Marines, two BoB halftracks, and the same 190's. Guess they needed another peg of Marines, to add to the three that aren't selling. And while they're at it, put out those halftracks that have been in the stock room since the summer. Sigh....

Found the OMG and S2 japanese today at the memorial pkwy Walmart
in Huntsville, AL. Also decided to check the clearance aisle and found all of the 1:18 RC vehicles marked down to $22.00 (had to buy another at that price!)

I'M FRUSTRATED - I figured the walmarts with fewer 1:18 planes would be the first to put out the new planes. One Walmart had one Thunderbolt left and now have about 6 Fw-190D-9 s4 instead of the new stuff. - The boxes are all dusty but have never been out on the shelves. I bet I wont see any of the new stuff until after i see tropical camo 109 next summer.
Plus - the Walmarts here either have More Marines or OMG figures - and japanese marines.

(southwest atlanta)
I visit about 10 different Walmarts every few weeks

Stuka - Don't worry. With that many WM's within your AO I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. :D

Are interstore transfers possible with Walmart? I've done this with TRU in the past but not sure about Wally. That way, if a board member spots a plane that I want, I find out his store ID then go to my Walmart and request to have it sent over. No shipping charges, I get something I want and WM makes a sale. Anybody know?

Eh, I hate this time of year at my Walmarts. Nothing but restocked old Humvees and command cars. No sign of the new WC or F-104. :x

I've read posts where transfers were done and other posts where it was almost impossible to do. I guess it depends on whether the store you want it transferred to is willing to do it. Worth a try though.

WM in mid Missouri

Post by JimBob55 » Wed Feb 01, 2006 8:28 pm

I'm in the boonies in mid-Missouri and WM is about the only thing here. I checked our local one and another about 25 miles away and they have stocked new planes and the weapons carrier. Both restocks seem to be almost identical. Recent 109s, Eileen bubbletop P-47s, and one F104 at each. For about the last year or more, both have been nursing a few FW190s and Air America Hueys. No movement, no change until just recently. I'm hoping for the new Corsair, though.
