New BBI Mustang!
...
I agree with aferg, very well said! or typed.
bottom line, if you don' like it either don't buy it or do a custom...
I also think we can't be fooling ourselves in that collecting these figures, vehicles etc is free of violence or responsibility for what did happen... you just deal with it or you don't.

Preorder available.
On preorder at BCA... confirmed delivery 11/22/04. On impulse, I bought one--didn't check to see where else these will be....
...
what is the process for companies making these vehicles... do they have to get the rights to the tail letters and nose art etc or do they just make them?

i just bought one too. I figured the pre-order price was pretty good and since i don't think we're going to see these at brick and mortar stores i went ahead and ordered one too. Should get here just before Christmas along with my two F-16's. Hee.

I couldn't help it! My fingers just clicked buttons and tapped keys and - boom! - I had preordered the BBI P-51!
This is all just getting too crazy! When are these companies going to go bust so that I don't have to drool over and then buy such amazing products?
(I really hope they don't go bust, however!)

Yep
That was the antenna wire for the Mustang a detail most people miss when modeling one. This airplane looks really cool, plus with all the details its going to be a must have for me.
You know my generation is spending too much time playing football on the X-Box when they have the name of the pilot of "Killer" painted as John Madden!!! Come on guys, give me a break. .......
I took my LOU IV down to compare......... you can't. Amazing stuff!
Interesting to note that the landing gear doesn't have the forward "rake" of the real plane. The XD P-51 has this same problem. Obviously, it is difficult to model.......

BBI P-51 Pics
Dang! That is one fine looking aircraft! Now there is a 1:18 scale P-51 that truly does this most famous fighter justice!
My "Lou IV" has always carried the distinction of being the plane that got me into this XD craze, but it has only rarely been displayed since it was sub-par when compared to all my other XD aircraft, inlcuding its accompanying BF-109! Now its stint in storage will probably be permanent... Bring on the BBI competition!
