There's a funny story over on the matchbox forum where a collector is so upset with WM shelf layout and logical placement, he would go in a re -arrange the pegs and stuff so a person wouldn't have to search the whole store to find matchbox.
Then a few days later he goes in and it's back to where walmart wants it!
So he rearranges it again, this went on for a few times until the store manager and security stopped him on the way out and when questioned by the manager, the collector told him, his ideas would help sell items so a person wouldn't have to search everywhere to even see if the items where there...anyway the manager asked him to kindly not shop at his store again.
I don't think there are any rogues in WM store management...

All I have to say is this: Digger, do you have all of the new stuff from Wal-Mart that has been out for quite a while now? If so, then that would justify your argument on not being upset with Wal-Mart and pushing towards the e-tailers. This is not a gripe or to get anyone upset, it is just a question to find out why you have no problem with the distribution and spending more money on the e-tailers. I bet that the majority (if not all) of the members here are dissapointed with the Wal-Mart distribution and also not even seeing the new 21C stuff from the past couple of waves. When it is gone from Wal-Mart, what is going to happen then? Maybe some other retailer might pick it up such as Target, but how many times has Wal-Mart recarried a toy-line after disolving/dropping it? I can't think of many. I am by no means saying that this is the end of 21C, so I do not need TKO to give me hope in the fact that they are very much alive and kicking. It is easy to see this as they are pushing some very great products in the next 1 or 2 years. But what if Wal-Mart dropped the line, then 21C would have to rely on the e-tailers for the moment. Maybe that is why TKO has no problem with what Digger and Toyktdlgh are saying.
By the way, I do not understand why 21C does not have an Online store for us to shop at. I know that I would by from them. I also know that I want to see them in Wal-Mart as it only promotes the product and allows fro greater things.

You scored a direct hit with this one. If 21C can sell to WM and still make a profit why don't they open a store I'd support it. How much longer is the distribution problem with WM going to linger on? Some ones going to have to say "Enough already"

You can't undersell your retail outlets. That is why buying direct from AT is not cheaper than buying from other online stores (Jason has said as much). The distribution problem you speak of has given us more product than some of us who have been here a while could ever have imagined.

Back in the olden days - with the starwars figures - was probably episode II? WM would have disorder - fallen figures all over the place - id pick them up and place the same figure on each row - so that it was easy to see what they had - I remeber when I was a kid - with my mother looking at the starwars at Lionell Playworld all the figures would be organized - the sandpeople all on one row - the jawas all on another row - you could look quickly to see if what you were lookiong for was there -
also if there are just a few figures left - the stores will spread all s figures out to make it look like more - I like to put them all on one row - next day they are spread out again -
ok so I was bored on my lunch break.
