Great pic, look at the sheer size of that jet compared to your dad, amazing, and he is no shrimp either....tmanthegreat wrote:Here's why I'm really glad to see that someone is finally producing an F-4:
The very first model kit I ever built was a 1:72 scale F-4 (I still have it too!)
My dad also flew one with the California Air National Guard

I am with you on this all the way. I have made my choice. I want the camo version and the Eric Hartman if they chose to do it. I usually try to get 2 of each but I will pass on that. Now if they ever break down and do a B-25 ,I will gladly pay up to $180 and get every version made in doubletoyktdlgh wrote:Well, like some others, I was hoping for a B-25 but the F-4 is a very nice choice. I’m not sure if it will be in my collection but it certainly is a great choice for all those jet lovers out there. Good show Admiral! Now make me my B-25 for next year!
Tman nice photo of your pappy.
Hey TMAN
Yes thank you for sharing, that kind of real world connection is great to see, if you have any other pictures that you wish to share please do so as that would be great also.
To take it further maybe there should be a sticky topic set up somewhere so members can post such images and or stories of there relatives or even themselves so we all can share in these pockets of what are so often neglected parts of history.
I can also foresee a custom job coming out your workshop sometime in the future, is your Dad still with us, what a birthday present that would make

I don't think you will have to worry the F4-C is very close to the Navy's F4-B with only a few differences ab F4-E or G is my in Israeli markings would be one I'd like to see. You can also make Egyptian, Iranian, Turkish and Greek Versions as well.Quixote511 wrote:I like the F4. Though, I think I am going to hold off pre-ordering. I am going to wait to see if someone else will come up with a Navy scheme.

F-4
An F-4 is a very exciting piece of news and I am grateful we are seeing this type of airplane. It is well known in many parts of the world and many people fondly remember this particular airplane. I think the Germans still fly it if I am not mistaken.
Now that an F-4 has been produced I can only think that an F-14 and F-15 are not far off. Wouldn't hurt to see the A-4 and a few MIG's too. Though, I am not sure how well MIGS would sell to the full market other than us collectors. An A-10 is a logical choice as well. Kudos to Admiral for making these airplanes and really extending the level of this collecting world. I gotta say it, I NEED MORE ROOM.
As for a B-25, I personally think any world war II twin engine airplane will cost more than $140. When I built my 1/32 B-25, the kit bashing and work on the kit alone cost about twice that. And my plane does not have retractable gear or working control surfaces. I am guessing a 1/18 B-25 would run about $200. But I believe it's a possiblity one day too!
