Ah yes I remember the pics of P47faninchicago's collection. A wonderful collection of larger scale models.
Very cool stuff, I like the 1:35 railway gun. 8) Oh and the 1:1 Mg-42... beyond cool!!! :D

I show those pictures of P47faninchicago's impressive collection and display to others in order to show that I'm not so crazy after all

I've used the same photo to convince my wife that I'm not the only one.

Hey Snake , you know if you don't get them now you will never get them, and they are not getting any cheaper.

Agree Studly, agree. Sooner you get what you want, the less it is going to cost. Can't argue with that.

But would also say that your purchases have been well thought out, and you have picked up some choice models. I think your selection has been pretty good, but it is always about how you feel about them, and not somebody else.

Happy to see you get the RAAF Hornet, and the RAAF Mustang, as those are very limited numbers, and hard to come by. Even better that they are Australian, as you blokes don't get much in 1/18.

Anyway, nice to see your collection, and think you have some fantastic 1/18.

Well done, mate. :D

Hay Studly I think I still have the corrective cover Decal for yer Big Beautiful Doll to put the Swazis in yer blank holes, that is the first edition one is it not.?... let me know... lair... also think I have the Decals that will finish off yer Helmut Wicks 109, includes the swazi to cover black diamond, the rudder kills, the cover decal for the Richtofen escutcheon which should be silver with red R and his personal lil bird marking, also the cover decals for the Vraciu Hellcat which include a cover decal for kills which are more red than pinkish red that came out of Factory along with his name that goes just below the canopy slide... also the Swazi cover decal for the white 12 Grey early edition Schlageter 109...just some info for you to consider....
ya gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie

Hello all,

Here we go - my humble collection laid side-by-side on the living room floor:

Image

Image

Yes, I know - it's a bit Luftwaffe-heavy... well, just can't help it... :D

You may spot some real custom gems, like Pickelhaube's Ho229A-0, JNewboy's Fw190D-11 and Nathan's full wingload of Ruhrstahl X-4's ready to be loaded on the HpH's Ho229...

Also, here is a size comparison of the various fighter generations. (from left to right: Fw190D - Ho229A - Ta152H - Me262A - Bf109G):

I have a gut feeling I might run out of my display-space sometime in the future... 8)

Greetings,
Juha
