i hope its not a Mc 202 in 1/18
i can't see why they did it in 1/32 with so many more popular planes needing to be done.
i collect both scales, but will not buy that one in any scale!

The Mc 202 in 1/18 would be cool.....it would also open the door to lesser known aircraft being done.

The Macchi 202 is not only a gorgeous aircraft it was extremely capable...a match for anything the allies had at the time. It was used extensively in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.

The major birds will get done...nothing wrong with having some interesting diversity from time to time. Maybe we should have another Corsair or Mustang instead?

Can't wait to see what this is all about...

Post by Warthog75 » Fri Nov 04, 2005 9:20 am

I don't care what plane it is, what country it's from, what livery it's displaying...if it's 1:18, has wings, and is made by 21st or BBI, I'm buying it!

these planes all had more service value then Mc-202

maybe 21st got the license to produce toys for the movie The Last Starfighter back in 1984 and have finally resolved the "packaging" and "folding wing" issues after 21 years so their ready for production and this is their fast paced marketing promo

That's because it was just a joke, IMHO. I admit, I get as over zealous about this stuff as the fiend on here. And, I like all of the crazy ideas people have thrown about; they are cool. But, I think it was just a joke and nothing more. I hope I am wrong and they pull out something fan-friggin-tastic, but I am pretty sure they won't.

I have to agree it was probably a Halloween prank. It would be cool if they have a great suprise. I guess we will wait & see.

I don't know, I think there is a surprise there. If it were a joke it would have been sprung on us the next day, not drug out like this. We know what is expected next, the Avenger, with everything else coming next year. Maybe now they are going to show us a new prototype for next year? After all bbi hinted at a Hellcat for next year.

Beware...It is coming...

The Mc-202 is a real possibility since it's also being produced in 1:32 scale, isn't it? That would be a neat addition to the collection!

No they clarified that it wasn't a "date".. I think Roy is just prepping us with an excuse for why we won't see the Avenger/Any new product untill the end of next year. You know how it goes, The dog ate my homework. or The Aliens stole my project!

I don't think it's an excuse for the Avenger. Bad Cat has just put an update on the Avenger's status saying now that IF all goes as planned the Avenger will start production in December and be available the first Quarter of 2006.
