XD stuff seems to have weathered the Christmas shopping storm in my area, which can be taken as both good or bad... The D-Day figures sold very well, and there were none left! On store brought out its supply of Tropical Stukas and BH corsairs, along with 5 of the Red nose ME-109Gs, from nearly two years ago! Another store had at least 6 "Mitch's Squitch" F-86s and 2 North Korean Mig-15s. It was nice to see those planes sitting side-by-side in the same store  Haven't had a chance yet to make it out to the store that had the 60+ halftracks just before Christmas to see what's left.

All the WalMarts here are cleaned out of XD ecept for some Short barrel r/c panzers and one pioneerwagen. Still no sign of the D-Day figures either. When I was eating at subway which is by the front doors, a guy was leaving with his four or five year old son sitting in the cart along with The Huff. The kid was bashing the box against the front of the cart over and over and his father didn't seem to care.

A moment of silence for all the XD that was given to little kids this Christmas only to be broken within minutes after they open it.

Picked up the M16 and stukazufus for $12.74 each - They rang up for $17.00 but someone placed the green stickers with the $12.74.
All the Pak-40 were gone

Also picked up the Avenger half off.

The RC Panzer IV with the low velocity short barrel was $35.00

Future XD'er in training? Or competition for those rare finds? Only with proper training, the wisdom of age, and a case of cold beer can one understand the true power of the XD

$35 Grey Panzers at my WM tonight... One left. These arrived on the 15th and clearanced I'd say the day after X-Mas... Anyway, I got the last one and I'm considering trading in my Tan one for the grey. The grey's just so much better looking IMO.

Ordinance Rd. WM in Maryland has the mid size vehicles at $17. There is also a 1:18 Stuka but I don't know the price (scanner in the toy section is busted).
Look up high for the vehicles: all the hanomags, M16, Pak 40 and NSTV.

Spotted a lone PAK-40 and a lone PPW Hanomag at the Nilles, MI WM for $17. Also a couple HUMVEEs of each type for $17. They also had 8 Avengers clearanced for $49, and a couple 1/32 items.
Mishawaka, IN WM had at least 15 $49 Avengers, which I found odd, since they had NONE the two weeks before Christmas. They also had a handful NK Mig-15s and Bf-109s, of course at regular price. [/list]

Grognard wrote: I was bad this weekend also. Picked up the short barrel PZIV for $35 and had my Girlfriend take back one of the older PZIV H's she picked up last year for $10 on clearance. The UPC's are the same.

Happy new years to all.
I did the same thing last year - that is the loop hole with all WM not being consistent - I was also told by a Toy department manager that the Newer WM (what she called a baby store) are last on the list when it comes to ordering and shipping - she also said they are the last stores with ability to clearance stuff. Made sense to me as the two newer super WM never have anything on clearance and have the worst inventory.

Warhawker, try the Walmart in Mckinney. It is a bit of a drive, but I left a bunch of $17.00 new series halftracks there over the hollidays. This was the only place I found them to the north of the metroplex.

the person in the toy dept must have punched it into the scanner wrong - $25.00 or .25

great find

the funny thing is i was hitting finds like that last yeAR - not that cheap - but ever since I usually take everything i see to the scanner - especially if they moved shelves or something. Last night i saw three Mig-15 chinese versions in the clearance aisle - and the scanners were all broke - not an empolyee to be found.

I walked away

I usually scan everything too, just to find the deals. Unfortunately, the WM closest to me got rid of every single "Find the price here" scanner in the entire store. I guess they got tired of people scanning stuff and then leaving it there in a pile beneath the scanner.
